I'm really excited about our upcoming deck and swimspa project. But I don't really have anywhere to talk about it so I think I will do it here. I'm sure most will find it boring to feel free to mute or unfollow.

While I could get my butt on the treadmill or swim this morning....I've decided to be lazy and relax with a cup of coffee and some t.v. instead. Maybe I'll be productive after that. Or maybe not. And I refuse to feel guilty about this.

I had my annual mammogram last week. This is the first time they have called me back for a follow-up. They saw a cluster of calcifications. Odds are that it's nothing. But that doesn't really comfort me. I'm really nervous. My appointment is in an hour. They will do a more magnified mammogram.

Then they said I will speak with the doctor. That's the part that freaks me out the most, I think. If anyone reading this could send good vibes out into the world for me, that would be much appreciated.

My neighbor seemed to be taking pictures or videos of us while in our swim spa. I mean maybe she had the selfie cam on. But the way she eas holding it...I doubt it. My question is...was she doing it to try to complain to our HOA or something?? Or was she doing it because she likes it?

Some tiny, shitass, podunk town near me discriminated against a trans person. I'm so sick of the loudest, most bigoted people getting their way! This country is going to hell in a handbasket!

Parents of neurotypical kids - can we agree to NOT give unsolicited parenting advice to each other? Because our parenting experiences are vastly different. I have absolutely no clue about yours and you have no clue about mine. Let's just stay in our own lanes.

I know that as a 45 year old woman, I'm not the target audience for someone like Gracie Abrams. But I'm kind of obsessed with her newest album and can't stop listening to it. My favorite song seems to change daily. Today it's "The Knife."

I think part of my brain is still housing my late teens/early 20s self. And when I listen to music like this...it just gets into that part of my brain and I end up relating to it so much. Certain lyrics are a bit of a gut punch....but in a good way, if that makes sense.

I decided to pick some for my husband too.... 1978 Attention Deficit Disorder Emotional Intelligence Dramedy Sticky Note Tinseltown

Our heat index yesterday hit 118 degrees. Weather like this has been happening several times in the summer the past few years when it used to be much more rare. It really makes me worried about what things will be like in 20-30-40 years. Very scary, honestly.

One reason I'm excited about our road trip is my new backpack. When we drive out to California, we have our big suitcases for the destination. But then we always bring backpacks with clothes and whatnot for the days on the road.

My old backpack was decent for the price and held a lot of stuff. But it wasn't very comfortable. So I decided to get a more expensive pack that I'm hoping will be better. At the very least, it's lighter. And it's super cute! So yes, my nerdy self is excited about a backpack.

11 days until vacation! I have 8000 appointments this week and I need to pack so hopefully that means the time will go quickly. I'm so ready (mentally) to be on the road and at Disneyland. Going to try my best not to look at the news or anything during the trip. We'll see how that goes.

Before that, when my husband was walking into the store, the guy stopped him to ask him to sign. My husband leaned in close to quietly say "Piss off...and then after that...go fuck yourself." The guy looked fairly surprised.
