Ava wouldn't be what is it is today without the leadership of Scott Haggerty. As a County Supervisor and visionary for bringing community choice energy to Alameda County, Haggerty was a founding member of Ava (then called East Bay Community Energy) and served as the first Chair of our Board.

We are humbled to continue honoring his legacy of serving the people of Alameda County (and beyond) through the Scott Haggerty Wind Energy Center, our 23-turbine wind farm in the Altamont Pass which serves our community with 54.8 MW of renewable electricity.
