Firing a coach and a general manager was supposed to be the Timbers' task for 2026... The Thorns look like they need to make those drastic changes as well - because there are downright awful decisions for roster construction and management that need to be addressed. #BAONPDX

This Thorns team has a potentially decent head coach on their bench, but she has only been in charge for two matches this season. #BAONPDX

Agoos still has time to turn this season around. And, it doesn't require stars. They just need quality and stability in key defensive positions. 🤞 #BAONPDX

The '17 and '22 Thorns had amazing offensive players... But, they were anchored by very talented back lines. The '26 Thorns could be amazing because they are great up front. But, they are in a free fall because they don't have the talent on the back line. Agoos needs to make changes. #BAONPDX

Trading Sugita is such a bad decision for the Thorns. I am quickly losing all faith in this team's management. #BAONPDX

Moving the Thorns match to either a late morning match this weekend or a later date feels like the safest thing to do. Nobody should be out in that kind of heat - players, fans, stadium staff, or vendors. #BAONPDX

My #PTFCoriginstory starts with the Portland Pride and the 2002 and 2005 UP Women's soccer teams. Those teams opened my eyes to soccer. I wouldn't have witnessed the first Sunshine Goal, the Sunflower Goal, the Wonder Goal, or the Western Conference Championship without having that history. #RCTID

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats (2/16/25) "The Flu Game"

Me (last weekend): It's too bad that Sierra Hull cancelled at Aladdin. And, it's too bad that Lake Street Dive is just GA in Bend. And, gee, Billy Strings is at the top of my "wishlist" for concerts... Me (today): Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Two of these movies feature great performances, good stories, and interesting character arcs. The third movie is more concerned with being cinematic than being good or interesting. It feels like a high school play wrapped in elaborate costumes and sets.

I read about fifty books in 2024. And, at one point, I averaged about 700 pages of reading a week. These are some of the books that stood out to me...

Recent reading history: "Martyr!" (Akbar), "There There" (Orange), and "The Sympathizer" (Nguyen). All three of these books are fascinating. And, they are all challenging for the reader - in the best ways possible. I plan to start "Say Nothing" (Radden Keefe) tomorrow. #JustKeepReading
