#Hobbystreak 285. Another knight completed. Sir Amerigo of the Freelands carries his banner bravely into the charge.

#Hobbystreak 284. Not sure about this heraldry yet. I can already hear people calling him the 'America Knight'. We will just have to trust the process and see what the end result is.

#Hobbystreak 283. The command group for my brigands is complete. I am thinking of naming the Cathay mercenary component of my Bretonnian exiles army the Red Sashes with the lore being they are the survivors of a rebel movement that fled west on the caravan routes.

#Hobbystreak 282. I got quite a bit done on the command group for the border prince brigands. It also turns out that it's going to be my turn to GM for my monthly Saturday tabletop group. I'm looking at Pendragon as the game I run.

#Hobbystreak 281. So I think I have the pattern for Bretonnia. For each knight I am going to do a group of regular troops so I can treat each knight as a character model essentially. Today I primed some men at arms and then started painting some iron hail gunners/brigands.

#Hobbystreak 280. First finished knight! Well mostly basing will wait until I have a unit done. I dub him Sir Tarios the Hedge Knight and he is questing to save the maidens of Estallia.

#Hobbystreak 279. Not much in the way of progress today because I decided to go out and be social.

#Hobbystreak 278. My first ever Bretonnian Knight is on the painting desk. I decided to start easy by going with the box art scheme and we will go from there.

#Hobbystreak 277. I had planned to start painting knights but 10 minutes after I got home from work it started raining again so I wasn't able to get any priming done. In the mean time I kitbashed a command group so I can run my iron hail gunners as border prince brigand's.

#Hobbystreak 276. A casual Battletech game today. I rolled my fedsuns for the first time in what felt like ages in a game against the Nova Cats. The claners were unprepared for the amount of hate a Malestrom and Thanatos can dish out.

#Hobbystreak 275. My other plans for the day got cancelled but it did give me a chance to get these mercenaries painted up. My camouflage idea kind of failed because you can't read it at all but otherwise I think it's a solid color scheme.

#Hobbystreak 274. Into the exciting world of camouflage painting! Every time I think this would be a really cool thing for an army scheme I get reminded what a pain in the butt it is once I sit down to do it. Well at least the friend I am painting these for will appreciate it.

#Hobbystreak 273. Another hobby side quest today. A friend of mine is preparing for a Battletech event and asked if I would paint up some mercs for him. I got everything primed today and then used the SRM carrier to test a scheme.

#Hobbystreak 272. My first full unit of knights of the realm are built. It's a weird feeling because this is the army I dreamed of having in high school but was too afraid to paint so having them on my desk now is kind of a thrill.

#Hobbystreak 271. The horse situation has been resolved so tonight I got a start on the knights fo the realm. Well the chargers of the realm anyway

#Hobbystreak 270. My Bretonnia building continues with banner bearers and a damsel. I am planning on getting painting started this week but we have rain in the forecast until Wednesday so we will see how it goes.

#Hobbystreak day 269. Today's Cavaliers op was a training mission with the local Alyina militia. Even fielding our less experienced pilots we provided the Militia a lot of teachable moments. It also marked the first deployment of our "Cerberus"

#Hobbystreak 268. It's been a busy day. I had some friends over and ran them through the part of the starter box for Pendragon and it was a hit with my gaming group. Since it put me in an Arthurian mood I spent the evening building more foot knights.

#Hobbystreak 267. I had a hobby side quest today. Between deployments my Battletech campaign group salvaged a Cerberus which gave me the perfect excuse to paint my Queadluun-Rau in Cavaliers colors.

#Hobbystreak 266. Thursday night Old World! I had a skirmish with the Empire and man Demigryphs have hands at 750 points

#Hobbystreak 265. Bretonnia building continues with the next unit. I put together the first 10 of my foot knights with another 10 to go.

#Hobbystreak 264. I made a discovery today. The Bretonnia army box I have is missing all the heads for the horses which is some BS. I have friends searching hits boxes to help out but in the meantime I built the 3 Pegasus knights.

#Hobbystreak day 263. It was another day for the peasants. I wasn't really paying attention but I have to appreciate how delightfully gross they made the face sculpts on these guys.

#Hobbystreak 262. October always seems to be the month where I start on new big projects and this year I am keeping the tradition alive. Today I sat down and got started on my next army project with Bretonnia. The first step was building a whole horde of peasants.

#Hobbystreak 261. Between running errands and stuff today I didn't have a ton of time for hobby but I did paint Jim Raynor's little robot buddy. I'm pretty happy with how the hover effect came out. It feels very comic book.

#Hobbystreak 260. I spent most of the day organizing a future hobby project but it wasn't really anything photo worthy. Aside from that I sat down and started painting Jimmy and I am pretty happy with the StarCraft 1 inspired paint scheme.

#Hobbystreak day 259. Tonight the chaos dwarves were looking to right past wrongs done by Cathay. Unfortunately my caravan guards found themselves the target of that fury

#Hobbystreak 258. I finished off the assault marines. I feel like I did an okay job in making each of them a bit more unique but I think a lot will come down to the paint job. The weather cleared up though so I was able to get primer on Jimmy and his robot buddy.

#Hobbystreak 257. I have had a box of 30k assault marines hanging around for a while so I started building them. I want to make these ones more veteran so I am trying to add a bit of customization to each body.

#Hobbystreak 256. Jim Raynor was a seriously pleasant kit to build. The drone is kind of neat and if nothing else it will make a good test model. I was hoping to get them primed tomorrow but it's supposed to rain all day so I will need to find something else to do.

I tell myself I got it to paint but I think we all know what's about to happen here

#Hobbystreak 255. The Cavaliers return. Relations between our employer Alyina and the merc company Tread of Doom have broken down over a murder charge. The Tread attempts to break out their imprisoned man and the Cavaliers as the closest unit are forced to intercept.

#Hobbystreak 254. All the terrain is done. It was a fun side project and I think everything turned out nicely. I'm looking forward to the next game where I get to put it all on the table.

#Hobbystreak day 253. Head first back into terrain painting. Thankfully it was a slow work day so I got quite a bit done. I finished the trees I prepped the other night and then got everything else drybrushed. One this is done every piece of terrain I have will be painted.

#Hobbystreak day 252. I needed a break from terrain painting. Tonight was our Old World club night and I played a 750pt battlemarch game against our Bretonnia. It was a slug fest of a game and ended in a draw despite my Shugengan's best attempts to blow himself up miscasts.

#Hobbystreak day 251. The bunker and trenches came out really nicely if I do say so myself. The monument one step paints have come in very handy considering the sheer amount of paint I have needed for covering everything. I also drybrushed the next set of trees.

#Hobbystreak day 250. The first batch of trees are done and I am on to the trench lines and pill box.

#Hobbystreak day 249. Before I start on my next big winter projects I wanted to take some time out and get all my 40k terrain painted. Today I kicked it off by doing a bunch of dry brushing on trees and a bit of testing with slap chop.

#Hobbystreak day 248. I was up early this morning on account of a whining dog so I got a bunch of terrain primed for painting. I also played a Battletech game where I got completely stomped because I couldn't roll higher than a 6 all game.

#Hobbystreak day 247. It was a really pleasant day out so I spent some time out on the patio putting some terrain back together after it got smashed up in a moving box. Mainly to keep from getting high on the epoxy. After that I finished the predator tank.

#Hobbystreak day 246. Back to tonk painting. The base layers are coming along nicely and, at least where my mediocre freehand skills are concerned, I think the unit stripe on the turret has come out nicely.

#Hobbystreak day 245. Thursday night old world. My Cathayan convoy was attacked by a horde of skellingtons. While very spooky they were no match for the one man army that is a Shugengan at 750 points

#Hobbystreak day 244. Well the rain today was no joke. I was without power for about 4 hours. Once I had lights again though I started working on the Predator tank I have had floating around my backlog for a while.

#Hobbystreak day 243. And that's all my peasant archers ready to go. It's apparently supposed to rain non stop for the next few days so I'm not quite sure what I will be working on next.

#Hobbystreak day 242. I had a massive thunderstorm hit last night and ended up falling asleep while the power was out and forgot to post. I got my last 5 peasant archers back on the desk. My goal is to have them done in time for a Thursday night game.

#Hobbystreak day 241. The Royalston Cavaliers are back on a new contract. The Alyina Mercantile League has contracted for a garrison company. Pirates have raided their garrison world attempting to loot clan tech supplies with the Cavaliers taking the field to stop them.

#Hobbystreak day 240. I had some friends over today and we tried out the Dune board game. It was fun but I feel like there is this board game rules creep where they just keep getting more and more complex. And I'm not sure who the target audience is. Some painting followed.

#Hobbystreak day 239. Today at work I spent 6 hours as part of an interview panel for an open position that doesn't even belong to my team. My brain is completely fried so I only spent maybe a half hour on painting.

#Hobbystreak day 238. I opted out of Old World club night tonight because I got a visit from the insomnia fairy and I didn't feel like driving on less than 2 hours of sleep. That didn't stop me from painting though! Surely I won't look at that with regret tomorrow morning.
