lowk been out of touch with minecraft updates lately (i barely even play the game nowadays) but it's quite cool to learn they're adding a new dimension

I've literally just Realized that I might be using the word "just" as much as I use the word "literally". aka a bit tooooo much 😳

apple event thoughts: -no base model iPhone 18 being announced (only the Pro models) is interesting -uhhh cool stuff as always?? like things are always nailed right. not smth id care abt since im not an apple user myself (though one day would be cool to try out if I could)

the iPhone Duo? not the first time we've seen a foldable phone. that title goes to Samsung Galaxy Fold in 2019 either way i still wouldnt be surprised if its gonna become a trend just bcz apple did it we've seen that with the notch, the headphone jack, the charger not being included in the box etc

that is although realistically I have doubts most ppl will want to buy a Duo (just like other foldables), but we're talking abt Apple so it could be geniunely a good device practically we'll only have to see once the Duo actually becomes available

Not the first time that Apple has made a foldable device, even before the iPhone 6. #AppleEvent

*except the one time you wanna listen to smth new but it recommends exactly the same shit just because you pressed like on a song or listened to it enough times

Once again, half the internet is blocked in Spanish territory (I can’t even load Americana maps) because there’s football on, and the Spanish courts, ever so bright, decided that things like viewing a map are prime examples of extremely illegal piracy of football broadcasts 😊

I find it really cute that the Spanish courts (along with countless other really cute things the Spanish courts do) allow LaLiga to force most ISPs to completely block a huge chunk of the entire internet whenever they’re doing a football match, in order to... ‘prevent piracy’ 🫠

about youtube raising the minimum shorts view/public watch hour requirement for YPP, yes its a bar risen, yes the path to monetization is now longer in detriment to small channels.. but as someone who has grown 2 channels to the monetization eligiblity threshold now its honestly not smth i rlly mind

at least they're not kicking out small channels from YPP like they did in 2018 just because they don't meet the then-new eligibility requirements of 1k subs+4k watch hours

side note: if youtube's main motivation behind doing this is actually getting even more $$$ for themselves im not surprised ...and in which case no thank you. at the end of this day this is still making YPP harder to achieve for smaller channels.

the last time yt has risen the minimum threshold for monetization (as in, getting paid via ads) was in 2018. that was a loooong time ago. the platform has grown since then. this might be an hot take or not but quite frankly you wouldnt earn that much money from just 1k subs+4k watch hours anyway

I’ll never quit social media. I know many cool people thanks to it, and I get something out of it. But when I devote more energy to real fun, self-improvement, time with people I care about IRL, I’m so much happier

Replying to @lookitup.baby

if the UI and UX suck or features people want to use aren’t there I promise you it’s not as good an alternative as you think most users just want to get things done on software that works well, and yelling at them about how they’re wrong to want what they want doesn’t actually help them or you

expect some new crazy stuff once i finally get my bearings straight once and for all 2026 is looking rly great so far

discord's AI flagging my account after posting screenshots of 4 random vids with thumbnails that scream AI slop is crazy

(in all seriousness this is prolly related to me switching locations but that seems absurd bcs it's in a city i lived in before - also before anyone asks, yes i got my account back)

You may have seen apps built with Electron or Microsoft Edge WebView2. But... have you seen an app that's just entirely based off the Microsoft Edge Chromium web browser? That's some crazy work lol.

made the switch to the linux-lts kernel certainly the perfect choice for someone like me who uses vmware on linux not-so-infrequently

proudly found in the sights of my old main laptop's HDD sectors™ (yes i pulled an all-nighter to dedicate myself to finding "treasures", i went to eep at 7am when the sun already rised and im still not even done yet lmao)

the year is 2026. a majority of google's apps have had Material You icons for a while now Google Translate still doesnt have one...
