When I interview, I claim one of my superpowers is being credible. I thought about that a lot recently. Doing what you say you'll do, having a track record of what you've done. These are really baseline expectations, but need to flaunt them more these days..

One of the things I like about my work is the β€œokay so what?” Asked around every corner. Bullshit is quickly found, and you’re forced to come prepared with data

Learning a new language isn't a way to increase my leverage. Learning how to speak to a new cohort or community totally is. Those were some fundamental truths I learnt quite recently that have helped me enormously at AWS.

I wrote something in cursor, and the time I spent wasn't where I anticipated. It got the idea of the codebase and what I was trying to do. What it didn't grok was integration/unit tests failing shouldn't be replaced by wholesale code edits, they exist that way for a reason.

Come find me at Kubecon. I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve. πŸŽ‰πŸ’–

With Kubecon around the corner, I am vibrating with the excitement of what we have to share. I have worked first hand with folks who are leveraging K8sGPT in the most extreme ways. Deep integration into their ticket system, building tacit knowledge bases and really pushing the needle on Ops Cya soon

Hey new followers. I work on several OSS projects, build regions for AWS and dabble in embedded electronics/gaming. What about you?

Linux Kernel 6.12 has landed. So many excellent OSS contributions that have brought a wave of life improvements. I am particularly keen on ARM and BPF scheduler features.

k8sgpt.ai update: We are currently building out two new components; schednex-ai (an advanced scheduler) and Interplex (embeddings/data cache) to unveil a very special type of AI control plane at Kubecon 2025 EU... 🀫 πŸͺ„ #syntheticOperators

Kubecon CFP tips: βœ… Use real world case-studies of work you've done βœ… Invite a diverse range of speakers to tell your story βœ… Make it fun and memorable, do something silly βœ… Tell a story you'd want to hear βœ… Make the outcomes more than the audience hearing you talk; what's this going to give them?
