Man pitches 'Shepherd Safety' to city council—a service that tracks politicians the exact same way Flock Safety tracks us. This shouldn't be satire...everyone should be watching “Authority” like a hawk. TT: @coachtd87

Exactly my question, Why not? We survived for decades without data centers and we should be able to survive without them a bit longer.

Incredible moment where Fox News puts up a graphic with all the reasons it opposes the DSA and why people should be afraid of them

This is your daily reminder that Trump and Republicans are spending billions of your tax dollars on an unauthorized war in Iran and Stephen Miller’s ICE agenda while gutting Medicaid, slashing SNAP, and driving up your health care costs.

or fund wars in the middle east, or to subsidize big oil, or to fund big pharma constrictions on treatment, or entities that suppress voters rights, womens bodily autonomy, children’s access to education at any level…

I don’t want my tax money to fund data centers, detention centers, presidential vanity projects, battleship construction, border walls, pay-offs to cronies, subsidies to billionaires…

NEW: Donald Trump gave Meta $8 BILLION by creating a new tax loophole for billionaire corporations. All while millions of Americans struggled to pay for food and health care.

😉Couldn’t survive this ongoing SNL script of absurd activities by this corrupt administration without humor! I so appreciate those that post their comments tinged with humor, thank you-

Why would this BLM plan be a good idea?

In western Oregon, the Bureau of Land Management is proposing a new Resource Management Plan without a single public meeting and with one goal: To quadruple the logging volume on Western Oregon BLM forests, returning these public lands to the “robust” levels of the 1960s and 1970s.

They think they can use their algorithms to erase decades of morals and belief in empathy in all of society. But not everyone is internet poisoned and they can still identify what evil looks like.

Apple & Google removed ICE tracking apps in their app stores. TikTok reportedly suppressed videos criticizing ICE & the shooting of Alex Pretti. Meta blocked Facebook groups tracking ICE & links to a database of agents that the government wants to keep secret. Big Tech is enabling Trump's regime.

My latest👇 Unlike in past years, we are not only up against the GOP and its right-wing allies, but the Department of Justice as well. Their collective goal is to use data to make it harder for you to vote and easier for them to cheat next November. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/trum...

Now, why do the US taxpayers have to subsidize Amazon to the tune of 11.6 billion dollars (that we know of) when they gross in excess of $311 billion annually (2024)? When can’t your average American become stockholder in a corporation that looks out for our best interests?

I’ve been a democratic voter for 5+ decades and now I’m a Bernie independent! (Though I might have to switch back to primary some candidates…not sure yet.) Mainstream democrats will have to earn my vote because I’m not happy with their behavior this year.

Billie Eilish asked an important question: "If you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire?" There are FIVE ways to accumulate a billion dollars: 1) Profiting from a monopoly 2) Insider-trading 3) Political payoffs 4) Fraud 5) Inheritance Billionaires are the result of a failed system.

Civil society has to hold together and pull forward until the Democratic Party changes. It makes no sense to wait for the Democrats as a party. What makes sense is shifting the ground underneath them.

From street marches to court battles to the ballot box - we’ve challenged the power of this exceptionally unpopular president. The lesson from each success we've had is that we need to ramp the political pressure up, always up, not back down, now more than ever.

Yes, money donations go farther in this context.

spoke with the executive director of my local food bank today and got this really incredible line: "if you donate 1 can of green beans, we can give away 1 can of green beans. but if you donate a dollar, we can give away 6 cans of green beans"

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

An article in the Daily Beast notes the changes he has made to the Oval Office, like bringing in a George Washington painting, a bust of Winston Churchill and this noteworthy addition to the Resolute desk a button he can press when he wants a Diet Coke brought to him. Why not an IV?

JUST IN: The White House has begun DEMOLISHING portions of the East Wing of the White House to build Trump’s $250 million ballroom — despite earlier claiming it wouldn’t “interfere” with the existing White House structure. (Washington Post)
