Babel’s Tables

@allplay.bsky.social any update on Have a Magical Day’s release date? Thanks. #boardgames

First play of Wondrous Creatures with the Winterfall expansion. Really like how it changed the game. Much more dynamic board state. If you like the base game you’ll love the expansion. #boardgames

Small Time Heroes finally arrived. Been looking forward to this one. Let’s see if the warrior can take down the Houndmaster. #boardgames

September #boardgames plays. Another fun month.

The Lost Expedition. Similar vibes to Friday Here’s hoping it’s not quite as punishing. #boardgames

August #boardgames plays. Drillers and DC Deckbuilding were the most played new games. @bgstatsapp.bsky.social

Latest Kickstarter arrived. Washington’s Secret Service. A card driven game similar to Onirim where you make sets to gain control of areas in New York while the British mess with those sets and your hand. If you like hand management and set collection it’s worth your time. #boardgames

Entropy solo on the table. A bit of a table hog but still a fun game. Bot is easy to run and on normal difficulty is surprisingly easy. I will add in the challenge cards next I think (I removed all the life forms before I remembered I wanted to take pics). Insert by Hextra, link on BGG.

First game of DC Legendary. Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Starfire took down Circe with an epic final turn of 33 attack and thwarting the break in at STAR labs. I really like Marvel Legendary but the fresh take that they did with DC is quite fun. #boardgames @upperdeckent.bsky.social

Slept on this one because I’m not really into the show/comic but the gameplay is really fun. Finished a hardcore episode 1 victory in Invincible the Hero-Building Game.

Drillers from @czechgames.com is a very good solo game. Deckbuilding to solve a spacial efficiency puzzle is quite fun. The bot is very easy to run and has 4 difficulties. Really glad I picked this up. #GenCon2026 #boardgames

July @bgstatsapp.bsky.social plays were a bit down this month due to @path-of-exile.bsky.social launch. Good amount of new games led by Wingspan Pocket which I am really enjoying solo. It has replaced the base game for me. #boardgames

Gen Con haul! #boardgames

Pyradice by @arcanewonders.bsky.social using the solo mode from @boardgamegeek.com I’m excited to see how it plays. #boardgames

Enchanted Ivy by @allplay.bsky.social made some rules mistake on the first try but second play of the prologue I scored 40 with a goal of 35. Looking forward to playing through the scenarios. #boardgames

Wingspan Pocket by @stonemaiergames.com provides exactly what I was hoping for. A quick, fun puzzle that scratches the Wingspan itch. The Automa plays smoothly and provides a good challenge. I would definitely love to see similar games in this line. #boardgames

TURING MACHINE DAILY CHALLENGE - 07/19/2026 #B65AV5F 🔲✅❌❌🔲🔲 ✅🔲❌🔲❌🔲 I BEAT THE MACHINE! #TuringMachineGame www.turingmachine.info I haven’t put Turing Machine on the table in too long. It’s so satisfying testing verifiers and seeing the ✅ or ❌ #boardgames

As a kid I would spend hours simulating NFL seasons by rolling 2D6 against each other to see who won each game. Football U by @scorelandergames.bsky.social makes that kid very happy. #boardgames

Enter the metaverse playing a game about making games to play with Game Makers from @beziergames.bsky.social Yes I got the silly panda meeple but in my defense it’s pretty cute. #boardgames

Late to the part on Quacks but I’m really looking forward to trying out the solo mode. #boardgames

Couple of wins on easy of Wispwood from @czechgames.com Solo mode is easy to run and quite fun. I put this right next to Cascadia and Harmonies for me (maybe even higher, will need more plays to be sure). Plus who doesn’t love the cute cat tokens 🐈 #boardgames

June @bgstatsapp.bsky.social are in the books. Lots of fun new to me games. Got to play #Rollingdeep by @bitewinggames.bsky.social on TTS. Got 8 plays in the last 2 days. It is so fun! #boardgames

First play of Countryside. Very pretty tableau builder. #boardgames

I just backed Rolling Deep & Eureka | Dice Adventure Roguelike & Campaign on @kickstarter.com www.kickstarter.com/projects/bit... Easily my most anticipated solo game. So excited!

All setup for Marvel Legendary 2nd edition. The big 3 vs Loki trying to get the cosmic cube. Time for the battle of New York. #boardgames

First new game of the night is Otter by @dylancoyle.bsky.social who can say no to this face?? #boardgames

Latest @buttonshy.bsky.social has arrived! Daily Weather I can see this getting added to my daily games list along with Turing Machine and Pentorini. #boardgames

Second play of Sweet Lands. I’m usually not a fan of BYOS but the puzzle this one presents is very fun. Goal score is 250 I got 147 in my first play so wish me luck. #boardgames

Less than 48 hours after getting the Regicide Legacy restock notice to my door. Big props to CardHaus Games. Much better experience than @allplay.bsky.social 10 days later and still not even a shipping notification on my order 😡 #boardgames

Quite the combo that showed up today. Drawing Dead #sologameofthemonth and Murdoku (shout out to Board Game Garden for putting this on my radar). #boardgames

2nd play of Meadow. Very fun and exceptionally beautiful tableau builder. Really enjoyed this and I recommend it. I know there’s a couple solo variants on BGG that I’m going to try. #boardgames

First solo play of Tacta by @jasontremblay.bsky.social (sorry I didn’t start with your solitaire variant it looked harder than this ;) I managed a win so I was probably smart to start lighter. Speaking of light you can see the dainty Sweet Lands waiting in the background 🫣 #boardgames

May @bgstatsapp.bsky.social in the books. A lighter month due to Diablo 4 and Path of Exile 2 releases. #boardgames

Wish me luck. First play of Kanban EV by @vitallacerda.bsky.social I’m hoping to make it past the first meeting :) #boardgames

I just backed Let's Go! To France from AEG on @kickstarter.com www.kickstarter.com/projects/ald... I like Let's Go To Japan, France looks so much better and I am excited to get this.

@bgstatsapp.bsky.social How do I see what play is excluded in my h-index challenge? I have 40 plays of Obsession but it doesn’t show on this list but shows under my plays tab

First solo game of Obsession after receiving the Victorian Box. One of my favorites! #boardgames

April’s plays are in the books @bgstatsapp.bsky.social Thanks @totallytabled.bsky.social for introducing me to Loot the Loop and Club Fight. Would have had 400+ plays easy if not for Diablo 4’s expansion launching. #boardgames

Finished my first Cozy Stickerville playthrough. Quite fun with a cute story. #boardgames

Finally! I’ve been waiting almost a month for this to arrive from Europe. Can’t wait to play this tonight. #boardgames

First victory playing Tesseract by @smirkanddagger.bsky.social Lost the first game after playing a rule wrong (wondered why it seemed so hard). Nice production and a very fun puzzle.

I just backed Hell of a Deal on @kickstarter.com www.kickstarter.com/projects/smi... Wife and I love poker but wasn't sure if I would get enough plays to make it worth it. The addition of a solo mode put it over the top for me.

Full list of plays. #6 is Card Capture, featured by Shaggi on @totallytabled.bsky.social as you can see I really liked it. Another new one is Cavern Shuffle. Reprint is on Kickstarter right now and I highly recommend it (there’s a web app to try it out on the KS page). #boardgames

March plays courtesy of @bgstatsapp.bsky.social Down a little but still played a lot of new games too. #boardgames
