The Brink of War film reminds just how close we came to nuclear war. 40 years ago this month, Pres Reagan and Soviet Pres Gorbachev met in Iceland, a convo that led to the INF Treaty and eliminated thousands of nukes. They chose dialogue in 1986. We need dialogue now in 2026.

A pole for peace. Our Fresno, CA hub members unveiled an international peace pole downtown Sep 21–the Int Day of Peace. The peace pole is a 4-sided obelisk with “May Peace Prevail On Earth” in 8 languages. The pole stands where all can easily see it and be reminded of the beauty of peace.

On this somber day, we’re thinking of our brothers and sisters in NYC. This is video of 2,977 lights, one for each of the lives lost on 9/11. We remember the victims, the survivors, and the heroes. #911 🎥: @newyorkcity

We must stop AI now. Experts, religious leaders, and former heads of state gathered this summer at the Vatican to raise alarm about the growing risks of AI and nuclear weapons. Their Rome Declaration calls for responsible use of AI, the halting of a new arms race, and disarmament.

A powerful speech delivered at the UN yesterday by Tina Cordova of Tularosa Basin Downwinders Consortium on the International Day Against Nuclear Testing. She reminds us to never forget the victims of nuclear testing, and why we must act now to abolish these weapons from our communities and world.

Abolishing nuclear weapons is necessary, possible and realistic if we the people demand it, and decision-makers in the U.S. and around the world recognize our collective interest in confronting this existential threat to humanity. Thanks to the 60 members of Congress who’ve cosponsored H. Res. 317.
