Are there any grocery stores with delivery left in Woodbury that don't just source out to Instacart or similar? Asking for someone who continues to get their orders delivered to the wrong house.

We asked a dietician how to not enjoy the Minnesota State Fair.

Let it be known that on this day, my Logitech G502 III has begun showing signs its time to retire it. It has served honorably in its life. We shall soon be welcome Logitech G502 IV into service. Long shall they reign.

Attention: The stain on Greg's shirt is of historical importance to the Department of Temporal Investigations, and will be studied with great interest.

Please, everyone. Don’t stare at the stain on Greg’s shirt tonight. Thank you, Management

Handcar races confirmed for 2027?

Vince Mpls@vincempls.bsky.social

#OnThisDay Jul 22 1938: Mayor Albert Flor of New Ulm, Minnesota (left), and Mayor Edgar Hyek of Albert Lea (right), pump furiously during the "Mayors Handcar Race" along the streetcar tracks in downtown Minneapolis. Spectacles like this were common in the 1930s to boost morale in the Depression.

I’ve been asked if I have received a reply from LTT/LMg, and I have not. I don’t really expect one directly though.

Last night I watched the latest WAN Show (Linus Tech Tips), and came across a spot in the VOD where the audio was muted. Turns out, Linus made a very poor taste “joke”/reference to Alex Pretti: “I think that’s a dead guy. Is that Alex Pretti?”. I found a recording. (Cont…).

Using a third-party tool I was only able to find one YouTube comment on the VOD that referenced it. It did get mentioned on the LinusTechTips subreddit in their new weekly WAN show megathread.

Hey that's not funny. All he needed to say was "Awh man, that wasn't funny. I dunno why I said that. I'm really sorry." and this would be over, but instead they muted the VOD and seemingly auto-filtered the word "Pretti," because I cannot find one comment about this on the stream which is unlikely.

(Cont.) It’s obvious they quickly realized it was in incredible poor taste and muted that part of the VOD everywhere (in including Spotify). Still, I felt like I had to say something. I emailed their info@ address (screenshots with alt text).

Not only were those events mere months ago, but still occurring around the country today. It’s not old news. It’s fresh. Current events. Not just in Minnesota. Not just in Minneapolis. Linus Media Group needs to do some serious reflection on how Linus just kinda says things.

Dear city of Woodbury, I have discovered an additional street that is still open for use, and is not undergoing construction. Please look into this, as you may have missed one that needs to be closed for our convenience. Would not want to miss Q3 closure goals. Sincerely, A concerned citizen.

The real question: is this a flat earther showing their beliefs, or someone who really wants us to stop flat earthers? Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z!

So we’re back to this again huh

My advice for the week: Make sure to have a way to deal with lithium ion batteries. Especially if you use them with a hobby or have devices that allow you to swap them. My @steelseries.com headset batteries started to go big. The good news is, the replacement batteries arrived quickly.

Stick drift on a razor seems like a recipe for disaster.

I rarely walk into stores these days, so when I do there tends to be something new of trending. This time it’s… gamer razors?

Luckily I’m Vegas it cooled down a bit to a nice chill 98 degrees for a bit… And I’m glad I’ll be gone before it hits 110°F (43.3°C).

Vegas bound for the Zscaler Zenith Live conference!

Any time an airline departs and arrives at terminals with different numbers (such as departing Terminal 1 in MSP and arriving at Terminal 2 in Vegas, it should be free. Checkmate airlines.

Chris Steller@chrissteller.bsky.social

If Metro Transit doesn’t charge for light rail train trips between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at MSP, then Delta shouldn’t charge for air travel where you take transit at each end

Today's decision paralysis: A new every day carry backpack in the 16L to 24L range. I currently have and like the LTT backpack but it's pretty damn bulky. The commuter bag seems to miss the mark a bit though.

Counterpoint: Wyoming is a chunk error.

To settle the "what is the midwest" debate once and for all, here's a map of the midwest based on how many counties away from Des Moines, IA you are. I would argue that it is a perfect map because, despite having mountains, much of Wyoming is in fact culturally midwestern. I will take no questions.

Dear city of Woodbury, Boy, do I love the sounds of the construction occurring behind my house. I especially love how it starts promptly at 7am and goes all day. I’m also pleased to know it will continue for many weeks longer, and potentially into 2027. I also love the detours. Sincerely, 🖕

I would have done this at Bruegger’s with my bagel of choice if the company owning it and Caribou hadn’t massacred it.

Thought of this post this morning as I sat outside Dunn Bros eating a ham and cheese croissant with my daughters. Also pretty elite!
