My recent acquisition from B-stock at @thomann.music - a @sireusaofficial M6 multiscale. After a little work from local luthier @mullenjulian for sharp fret ends, this thing is just gorgeous. So easy to play, very light and surprisingly easy to adapt to. Great #bassguitar🎸 👍

Look who turned up!

Lovely gig last weekend over near Gravesend - a charity one with Jagged Little Alanis (jaggedlittlealanis.co.uk) - and a first for me: I was the sound engineer. Lessons learned: get a better router, but otherwise not too bad!! Rikkers bass sounding lush. Good kebab afterwards too 🤤

Throwback - Lovely gig with JaggedLittleAlanis (www.jaggedlittlealanis.co.uk) at the Essex arms earlier in the year. What a tribute band this is, what a gig! Such big smiles. My lovely Rikkers Bodyline bass delivered in spades. Love it! . . #musician #bassguitar #bassist

Awesome session recording fun late into the night…

Andy in the studio! Rikkers Bodyline bass to the fore, had a great time outside my comfort zone with a pick playing MetalCore music - awesome, scary, exhausting and I had one hell of a vocalist driving me. Check out her work with Marisa and the Moths (this recording was for a different project!)

Great little #rehearsal for a #gig this afternoon. Well known tunes, great #musicians, so easy going. It’s nice to be able to do this, to feel the human connection of it. I love playing #bass guitar.

Who loves #effectspedals? I do! #bass #bassguitar

The filter board lives ❤️ SE bass bash shots, all my lovely pedals all plugged in and switched on. Worked well!

When people lose their Way Rules about morality and correct action are made. When people stop trusting themselves, They demand evidence before they will trust anyone. When a group is divided Loyalty and commitment need proving. When a nation has lost its Way Patriotism becomes a virtue.

Awesome day, finally finished my filter #pedalboard - the complete setup is a tweaker paradise! All these shelf pedals now have a new life, easy access and setup - it’s what keeps things creative. And new sounds? Drolo Kiwami! Mental!

Now this is a fun way to gig. Someone’s birthday! In their kitchen! Jagged Little Alanis - we do birthdays! 😁 Find us at http://jaggedlittlealanis.co.uk - all our socials are on there.

Lovely meal in a local gastro type pub place last Saturday. Call it a little treat after my flu shot! Recommended. The Plough Inn in Eastbury. Nice!

“Since mankind's dawn, a handful of oppressors have accepted the responsibility over our lives that we should have accepted for ourselves. By doing so, they took our power. By doing nothing, we gave it away. We've seen where their way leads, through camps and wars, towards the slaughterhouse”

Yay! My website moved to faster hosting so I decided to keep updating it. Time for a #gig roundup for a bunch of them in 2024… www.basexperience.co.uk/gig-round-up...

A couple of random shots from the wedding gig I did last night at Widbrook Grange just outside Bradford on Avon. Beautiful little venue to play.

Lovely gig last night on an army barracks in Southampton - country gig and the whole thing was country themed. They had a mechanical bull!

What a weekend! Great gig at Dubs in the Middle near Evesham? I fixed my Future Impact synth pedal and recased it in a future compact 3d printed case which looks the bomb! Then I rebuilt my pedalboard on top of a smaller platform so I could use it more often and more easily. Sweet times.

Taking stock. No hole-in-one yet: I have had one in the past…
