"They don't see red or blue, they see green" is a great line.

We’re all getting screwed—Democrats and Republicans alike. The billionaires who run this country don’t care about your politics, they only care about their profits. They don’t see Red or Blue—they see Green. They see us as one opposing team. So we might as well act like one.

@gruber.foo Have you used the Sports app UI for browsing the World Cup bracket? It's sublime. They're going to get so much use out of it across every sport.

Love this

Not a headline many folks are used to seeing about a Dem candidate. Iowa Auditor Rob Sand, a bow hunter, shot a deer and donated the meat to a local food bank. Sand is running for #IAGov. cbs2iowa.com/news/local/g...

Gotta enjoy the good days

There were 13 elections last night for a statewide office. Democrats swept all 13. That’s 1 in NJ. 3 in VA. 2 in GA. And 7 in PA (all judges, retention and regular). They won 12 of the 13 races by double-digits, with margins up to 24%. The only other race, the tightest, they won by 6%.

@nbsp1618.bsky.social Cross Bronx Expressway sounds fantastic. What a worthwhile project. It sounds like it may play best at 3 players, followed by solitaire. Does that align with the play testing? It's often just 2 of us when we play, so I'm curious how good of a fit it is for that number.

I have a lot of respect for @chrismurphyct.bsky.social, but this quote shocks me. The entire focus of the Harris campaign and its ads was that a second term would be different, no guardrails, no one to stand in his way. How could the party not have been prepared?

Progress.

Another pretty big move down in Trump's net approval today. He hits a new low (again) of -6.7 after pulling in net negative numbers from even his most friendly pollsters. Disapprove: 51.6% Approve: 44.9% www.gelliottmorris.com/p/data

The next great campaign platform is a campaign to limit presidential power. A weak, ineffective, dysfunctional Congress has helped bring us to this point.

How I found my way into jazz after years of distant appreciation, featuring two blogs, a Finish jazz magazine, a concert in New Orleans ❤️, and a jazz community in Western Massachusetts modeled after farm shares. bb.place/finding-my-w...

bb.placeFinding my way into jazzI was always curious about jazz. I purchased a handful of the revered albums, sparked by lists of the greatest albums of all-time or a favorite artist raving about one. When a music journalist wants t...

There’s a great Bob’s Burgers episode this season about nostalgia and drive-in theatres that reminded me of one of my favorite jokes as a kid. Did you hear about the guy who died at a drive-in movie? He went to see Closed for the Winter. 🥁 That would be a quality short story title, too.

Whenever I read that something is "not for the faint of heart", I know I won't be interested, which I guess means that I'm faint of heart?

Whenever a noteworthy person joins and there's a buzz about the place, I think of Arrested Development. This was a big get for God.

You are up to date.
