Kaitlyn Dever is great in No One Will Save You. There's barely any dialogue in the movie. Good thriller/horror. Social pariah vs greys. I find the ending hilarious.

Nothing I dread more than Youtube's "Fewer interruptions after this ad break". It means I'll get long ass interruptions every five minutes. Everytimr and AI Slop ad of some BS product.

So far I've read the first 11 books of the Horus Heresy. -1 to 3 "I was there when Horus slew the Emperor." Must read -Flight of the Eisenstein was a bit slow but I liked it. -Fulgrim same but more F-ed up. Fulgrim's fall is fascinating. -Descent of Angels has a cool story of the Dark Angel's pre

-Empire and Caliban. -Legion is great and has a very mixed and colorful army. "I am Alpharius." -Battle for the Abyss. Pointless, MEGA SKIP. -Mechanicum. I struggled here. The previous novel left me with a bad aftertaste and it made judge this book harsh at first. Once it got going, couldn't keep i

it down. -Tales of Heresy has a couple of interesting short stories. Obviously, read The Last Church. -Fallen Angels is two different DA stories taking place at the same time but unrelated to each other. Found it less interesting than Descent of Angels. NEXT ON MY LIST: A Thousand Sons

I'm on book 10 of the Horus Heresy. Hit a bit of a snag for a few months after forcing myself to read Battle for the Abyss (SKIP IT, almosy ruined me run). Mechanicum had a slow start but picked up on the last third. I'm starting the second to last short story of Tales of Heresy. Warhammer40k WH40k

I think this whole thread has what made me bounce off of my D&D campaign. After 10th level it becomes hard to threaten your PCs and they have so much power (and if you have a minmaxer like me it's worse) that you are either railroading them or have to do a ton of improv.

The issue I see most in #TTRPGs is that few assume ordinary people are constrained by violence. If a 6th-level character can shrug off a 5 crossbow hits, violence loses meaning. Choices lose weight, consequences blur, and the game becomes floaty. This floatiness is often blamed on scenario content.

It came to a point where I would spend hours for a two or three statblocks. I love making statblocks but everything else of my prep would fall because of it. Funny enough, I overdid it with a statblock and my PCs didn't take a short rest before that boss fight. It lead to a slug that resulted in

The death of 2 PCs. It wasn't fun at the moment, but that storyline put a fire to my players' butts and they were so motivated for the next 5 sessions. But yeah, high level D&D is so much work for a DM

I yot hooked on Hunter the Parenting. Great series and a love letter to the World of Darkness. I love VTM but these last episodes make me want to play Werewolf the Apocalypse.

I read V5's Court of the Damned. Just the right book for my chronicle. As soon as I end my Pulp Cthulhu campaign, I plan on running a VTM Cam chronicle with faction vying for power and to crown the new prince after our PCs accidentally gave the prince and seneschal a bomb that turned them to ash

After this I won't give another opinion: D&D 5.5 announcementS were GOOD. I bit skeptical on the Star Wars collab (and I love SW). V6 definitely will shut up about it. No time for nuance. My first edition change of a game I enjoy so even I'm shooting from the hip.

I also skimmed V6 VTM playtest on Demiplane. I played two session of Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game. It reads a bit like that. I like Avatar Legends RPG. But it feels odd to say this is the future of Vampire the Masquerade.

Seems they got rid of it and went back to Giovanni. Thin-blood is out, duskborn is the only name. At least Banu Haquim and Ministry remain as in V5. Don't like the subtract dice per difficulty level. I can tell you one thing TTRPG players love throwing lots of dice.

First impressions: I loved the hunger dice dynamic from V5 and it makes me sad it's gone. It feels a bit more bare bones in rules. I like that the post-truth era and AI slop make it easier to be a kindred since people can't tell what is actual true. The Hecata were a great lore change in lore

Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill give great, trafic and horrifying performances, specially Adjani. For a long time it was on my list of movies to watch. I finally did it and I felt spellbound by it. This was an experience

Nice, V6. Need to finish my V5 chronicle. We like the lore and the Hunger dice, but we do feel like we need a bit more customization. Hopefully it is a great edition.

NEXT UP: The White Wolf panel. While V6 of Vampire: the Masquerade is all but confirmed, we're expecting to learn a lot more about how the game's creative director and lead designer are re-imagining the game. I'll be live-posting the crap out of this.
