Ben

Hey! I’m also here now. Here’s some of my better work:

Floppa

Big cats

Commission from the other site.

I have no idea what this pose meant to be, just imagine he’s in a wind tunnel or something.

Wasn’t happy with the last batch, so here’s some more anatomy practice.

Practice

Grey Seer Thanquol. These warhammer designs have crazy amount of detail 🤯

Queek Headtaker

Small photo study to get back into drawing. Had to skip a few days due to hand pain.

More scribble studies of skaven

I don’t know much about Warhammer, but I thought it’d be fun to learn drawing a new creature, so here’s some skaven.

Torso

Centaurs

More studies to figure these creatures out.

Small shading practice thing. This pose always looked painful to me, but it should be very safe when performed correctly.

Another batch of minotaurs

Doodled some centaurs

Some of the better stuff from my figure drawing pile.

Practice

More moo related doodles.

I’m starting to really enjoy doodling, getting less reliant on reference too. Now if only I could incorporate shading into the process.

Commission from the other site.

Shading practice.

More hip studies

More shading

Note to self: more gesture.

Prelim sketches for a commission.

Monthly attempt to put the studies to use and doodle something without reference. You can always tell by the fuzzy lines.

Warmup yeen sketch

Consistent error I noticed in the way I draw bovine heads is that I flatten the forehead and tuck the horns behind the ears, so here’s a little note to myself.

New goal is to always put some shading on my sketches. I need that practice badly.

I saw a study on Pinterest likening the deltoid to a crab and, yeah, that makes total sense to me for some reason.

Practice

Drawing backs is really not easy, but I think I’m slooowly getting the basics memorized.

Notes and scribbles

Small studies on back and arm muscles.
