WAHOO!!!! At last, I can announce that my 6th novel--THE LAST OF THE MOON GIRLS--has been optioned by Sepia Films in collaboration with the lovely Paula Patton!!! Whew! Thank heavens it's finally out! Six months is an eternity to keep a secret when you feel like you've swallowed the whole sun! 🌙

Zero fucks to give for ANYONE who is just figuring out that they voted for thier own destruction. I'm taking care of me and mine, and those I know where on the right side of this nightmare. The rest of you CHOSE. Now you reap.

Zero fucks at this point for ANYONE who is just figuring out out they voted for this own destruciton. I'm taking care of me, and mine, and those I know were on the RIGHT side of this nightmare. The rest of you chose. Now you reap.

She said "we need to come together to do something about this"! Who the fuck is "we"?! "Come together"?! To do what?! Y'all voted for this. "Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind."

We desperately NEEDED Joe Biden in 2020, but we have proven we didn't deserve him. To think of the work he did all being handed over to the con man to be smashed makes me sick to my stomach. 🤬

JUST IN: The U.S. added 256,000 jobs in December, surpassing expectations and bringing the total for 2024 to 2.2 million. The unemployment rate dipped to 4.1%, and wages grew 3.9% over the past year, far outpacing inflation.

I am SO ready to kick 2024 to the curb and start with a fresh vision and exciting new goals! Still honing my 2025 Word, but my 2025 planner, project files, and colored pens are spread out all over the bed as I reflect on the possibilities. Anyone else have a ritual to prepare for the new year?

Things the U.S. apparently CAN'T afford: 1. School lunches for food-insecure kids 2. Medical benefits for our veterans 3. Improved natural disaster response Things the U.S. apparently CAN afford: 1. Canada 2. Panama 3. Greenland ***I hate it here.

It's the little things now...

I've had such a gobsmacking sense of helplessness since the election, asking myself over and over what I can do to make a difference. The answer kept coming back: nothing. Then it hit me. I CAN do something. Maybe not politically, but I can help others by sharing what I have. (1/2)

For me, that means donations to St. Jude, ASPCA, & Second Harvest. Now more than ever, underrepresented groups and the orgs. that serve them are going to need our help. It won't fix everything, but it's what I can do with what I have from where I am right now. And that, finally, feels good. (2/2)

Dear Santa, All I really want for Christmas this year is a big blue binder to store all my receipts and grudges. (okay, two binders... or three, if you can swing it... I tend to hold on to things) Signed, Pissed Off in Poinciana

Coming soon to a city near you! All the batshit crazy stuff your friends and family told you not to worry about because it couldn't happen here. You know, like they've been doing since 2016, when Roe was 'settled' law, and vaccines were proven science.
