“If one-half of our Congressmen would kill the other half and then commit suicide themselves, the country would gain by the operation”. (Boston Herald, April 19, 1850) Nothing has changed!

Two items that should be on every patriotic American’s agenda: 1) supporting financially and otherwise, a “Project Accountability “ to record the violations of law by all members of this administration: 2) full page media blasts noting “I was following orders will never be a defense”.

Having binge-watched Season 1 of Aaron Sorkin’s”Newsroom” 2011 hot political issues remain unchanged I.e. immigration, demonizing education , defaulting on the debt . Sorkin was either a time traveler or prescient

Mind boggling and humiliating that CBS would permit this.

FCC Commissioner Anna Gomez@agomezfcc.bsky.social

A government-sanctioned "truth arbiter" will soon arrive at CBS. Their role will be to ensure that journalists do not criticize this Administration or express views that conflict with its agenda. This is a betrayal—not just of journalistic independence, but of the public trust. 🧵

Trump has destroyed the two pillars of American democracy: shame and empathy. One is no longer ashamed to steal, terrorize, lie, grift and pervert. Empathy for the less fortunate has disappeared. Whether those pillars can ever be restored remains to be seen.
