Woke since 1946. Retired and now like to care for rescued horses. I’m getting old and I don’t respond to personal messages. Remembering the 1950s and 60s, women and minorities were respected a lot less than they are now. I don’t want to go back.

The horse you are looking for is not visible at this time. If you can’t see her eyes you can’t see her at all.

Next month I’m going to be 80. I often think of all of people who didn’t get to get this old. I whine to myself but I’m grateful for life. Visiting my herd and walking around with them is ideal. All that matters is the love between us.

I adore pets who get in trouble. Sister tried breaking into the hay shed but got trapped. I rescued her and gave her a kiss.

When I met Calypso. She knew my sister rescued her. When she saw me she knew who I was. Over the years she tried every trick on me but I was always ready.

Calypso has been spoken to as if she understood from age 4 on. When she was 1 year old I said, “You understand everything we say.” She got excited, danced around and kissed me.

The horses know that my sister created this haven for them. They can see a long distance to see if anything is approaching.

Do the horses poop in the woods? Not these horses, not these woods. The old trees have fence around them and there is a maze of fences for them to explore. They seem to appreciate that it was made for them and they keep it clean.

I wondered why Bubby had many bite marks then Willow bit him and chased him away from me. Bubby doesn’t seem to mind.

As soon as I asked Daryl to show me his favorite spot among the trees he started walking to closely escort me to a certain spot then we gazed into the distance.

It’s the last sunny day for a while so I spent it with the horses. I had a wonderful time. Willow showed me her favorite spot in the woods. We stood there for a while staring off into the distance.

Willow kept eye contact. It was obvious that she wanted to show me something. It was her favorite spot in the woods. We hung out together for a while.

I used to know a donkey named Jojo. He was shy but when the horses were frightened of a plastic deer he confronted it eye to eye.

I felt gloomy so I drove to visit the horses. It was such a lovely mild day that I was overwhelmed with a peaceful feeling.

This evening Daryl didn’t want me to touch other horses. When Calypso, the herd spy wanted to show me something he let me go.

An elephant I used to visit. She was being bullied by a huge male elephant when stole her hay. I spoke to a zookeeper who immediately worked to keep them in separate pens. The last time I saw her I used horse body language inviting her to join my herd. She smiled at me

Daryl and Hayla soaking up sunlight. Let me tell you how things work around here. I walked down to the woods alone because Daryl did not authorize anyone to follow me.

Willow was born in the wild. People were afraid of her. She’s the most polite gentle pet. Here she is admiring herself in the mirror. Willow loves wearing things.

Bramble was an extraordinary wild mare. Born a leader she took over the herd while being respectful of the leaders. She organized the herd to line up and face a threat. One day Daryl was upset and she calmed him down instantly. One evening I was leaving but heard a bell. She trained me to respond!…

I used to take Topaz for a walk at a farm that had llamas next door. If I suggested we spy on them she wanted to get there quick. They gawked at her then stuck their noses up in the air then they’d hide. As soon as they appeared again she would do it to them. Years later…

… I put my hand on her back and asked her to show me where she spies on the neighbors. Off we went to show me 3 places where she hid in some trees to spy on the neighbors. She’s been gone a long time but when I walk past her hiding spot I say hello to her.

Dandy was a champion Connemara from England. He was highly trained and a champion show jumper. It took him years to trust me. He showed me how to properly handle a horse by refusing to move or even look at me until I figured out my mistake. One day my mother caught him helping himself to feed…

…my mother shut him in a stall. He was trembling thinking I’d punish him. Instead I fed him a carrot and brushed him. We were friends after that.

Daryl fell hard for Skunk. He acted all goofy. Skunk decided she had to eradicate Hayla and they were in a viscous fight. That’s why Skunk is kept away from the others.
