While my next week will be honeymoon posting, I do want to take a minute to acknowledge this. Never had the privilege of meeting Eric, but he seemed to be a dear friend of pretty much every cartoonist I know and follow and that’s awesome. I admire that a lot. Sorry to hear of his sudden passing.

I still think this movie looks too cute. I know other Dr Seuss cartoon movies have attempted his style but I feel like in a post Hotel Transylvania/Spiderverse/Kpop Demon world, I feel like they could really achieve something matching his illustrations in CG. But no it looks like Storks or whatevs

Something that bothers me about some of these stop motion projects based on big IP is just how short they are. They advertise hey our thing is getting a big stop motion production and then it’s like 2 minutes or 4 dinky episodes. I know that shits expensive but god damn.
