I'll never stop making monsters. 🤍 Most of my werewolves thus far! More creatures to come! Varek 📸 - @smogteeth.bsky.social / @kandorincreations.bsky.social

also hello yes hi I'm on my way back home from a much needed break after how much I've been working this year regularly scheduled programming will resume and I'll be working on knocking out my commission queue within these next couple weeks!

he's workin on it 🍸 silly little oc doodle of my vampire boy Jasper since I've been in an awful art block lately OTL

"Really nice work! Too bad it's too expensive. :/" normalize saying "Sorry, I can't afford this at the moment!" or similar rather than inferring directly to an artist's face that their art isn't worth the price lol.

like. I've been doing this for over a decade, I know my worth and I do my best to keep my prices reasonable and fair lmao

UGLY CRYING THANK YOU ;O;

Anytime I walk past @beastsoul.bsky.social booth at a con, I always stop and spend too much money, lol. No regrets. I will continue to do this.

hi I've been traveling for cons constantly these last few months and have HARDLY been able to draw at all but have some quick doodles i finally managed to get out of my vamp boy ocs ;<; 🤍

I'M AT ACFI COME SAY HI AND BUY COOL SHIT 🔥 (or i guess it's cool idk I'm just an autistic nerd who draws monsters lol)

if you guys have wondered why I've hardly posted lately, it's because I've been SEVERELY overworked and burnt out and it's had me feeling pretty worthless being unable to draw anything...

I've dedicated my whole life to my art and when I can't even put out anything it's really hard to not tie my self value to it. everyone around me keeps putting out such incredible work and I just can't help but to feel that I'm lagging behind and it's really hard to not feel down about it.

I legitimately just. feel like something is wrong with me because I can't draw. the only comfort my brain gives me is the nihilistic "fuck it, nothing I do matters anyway" mindset which isn't exactly healthy but it's the best coping I can manage rn lol

long story short: I've HARDLY been home this entire year. I've severely overbooked myself for work/travel, only being home on/off every other week. I've hardly been able to draw and whatever I do manage to draw it takes me fucking forever and it's been really hard to not beat myself up over it.

FRIEND BRAG: ROBERT FREAKING ENGLUND WALKED PAST US, AND CALLED @beastsoul.bsky.social 'S WEREWOLF "beautiful work"! YES SIR, IT IS!!!

lowkey really down that things like deviantart rp groups don't exist anymore, so many people I know met their partners/best friends through it and it's just harder to find friends with things in common these days :/

9 Sept

like. I just want a partner that loves monsters and rp and art, I'm a simple woman lmao. I'm trying not to be too down about being single but ngl it's been rough lately. dating apps have fuckin sucked.

hi hello yes the reason I've been so quiet is because I was cramming my Pokémon Paleontologist cosplay for #PokemonWorlds this past weekend! I'll also be wearing this to the exhibit at the Field Museum! 🤍

1 Sept

the aerodactyl art doll was... DEFINITELY a lot of trial and error and not my best work lol, it was my first time making an art-doll-esque thing but I definitely want to make better ones of original monster designs in the future!

I love spending so much time typing up online shop info with fully extensive details about the products, policies, shipping info and FAQs only for NOBODY to read them then yell at me for it. :)

I've had dealt with so many liars and narcissists in my life who would rather believe their own delusions and destroy their relationships all for the sake of their ego, i thought a sticker like that would be funny but idk how sellable it would be? lmao
