Over the past 9 years, Ive been self-learning throat singing. Spontaneous flow states such as this one have been my best teachers. And the journey continues. From my room to the stage 😛

As a master student of urban planning, I've spent the last year doing small studies about the human experience of place using sensory ethnography. Last semester, three participants and I did a smellwalk in a park and eco-village to investigate their smellscapes via direct immersion.

Along the walk, we made notes about the smells and discussed our experiences, as smells evoke emotions and memories. Then, we sat down and painted/drew on papers our representations of how the smellwalk felt to us. Here you can see the artworks we made - a collage and a smellmap.
