Bear has been built, based, and had their gaps filled as best I can. I’m sure paint will cover it. Still lots of subassemblies for painting (including Boris’s hat).

Messing around list building, and noticed the new chaos book added a daemon-blooded steed. Which buffs a horse, enough to maybe work as a bear. So i finally have a way to use the bear. He also just about fits on the new size cavalry base.

And he’s done. He’s going to have a repeater handgun and ruby ring to hopefully give my Kislev much needed punch in Battlemarch. #Nerdlings

Progress with both my Red Scorpions and Kislev. Got the second five vanguard veterans built and primed, and the two new characters for my Kislev.

Booked to do more Old World Battlemarch in Nov/Dec, and I was thinking of taking some dwarfs. But that’s boring, so I picked up these to try and make my Kislev (Ren-Crowns) function better. A captain with repeater handgun, and a wizard on foot so I can hopefully do a lot more ranged damage.

Roughing up a vehicle is always super fun. Mostly just highlights and a few more transfers to go. Except for the top doors, which I’m still running scared of doing a freehand scorpion on. #Nerdlings

Every marine army needs a metal box. Going to be the ride for my sternguard. Not glued a single bit yet.

Practice, for a rhino top hatch. I think painting a red scorpion freehand will be easier than I think.

Taken most of the day, but I’ve got my notes ready for the next The One Ring rpg adventure I’m running. Also sorted out most of the antagonists. Just need to paint ‘Gandalf’.

Finally got round to actually painting the Dwarven mirrors I designed. Ready for an event next weekend.

Man this old Haldir is a fantastic sculpt. First mini cleaned up for next years Middle-Earth army. Assuming the made to order stuff arrives in a timely manner. I’ve never do an elf army. #Nerdlings

Question for all the hobby people. I want a rhino for my Red Scorpions, and it’ll be cool to have a big scorpion symbol on the top hatches. So any ideas/advice on how to make a stencil to help me spray/sponge it on? Particularly a good material to use. #Nerdlings

Spend the day playing Rimworld for the first time in ages. My little sheep and donkey farm was going really well, until someone got kidnapped, and some else got mauled to death by a Rottweiler with a broken heart.

I do make things hard for myself. Like 2 hours cleaning up the grey, 4-5 very delicate coats.

Just got the heads and a varnish to go and the Van Vets will be done. #Nerdlings

Finally got back to the vanguard veterans. I feel weirdly rusty, but I got the creams and reds done. As well as the shoulder transfers. #Nerdlibgs

Done some putty work on the BSB. I’ve never been great at sculpting with any putty, but I think this should past for fur once he’s painted. And now he’s WYSIWYG. #Nerdlings

Made progress on various things today, including cutting off the wolf head from the Ulric priest. Took bloody ages, but he’s now in a place where I can attempt to sculpt some fur round the back.

Coffee stirrers, superglue and a dream of a baggage cart. That A at GCSE D&T finally coming in handy. Still got to work out how to actually attach the horse and wheels. The paper is a start on a bear rug. #Nerdlings.
