Sometimes I get hung up on a detail in a book and can't move forward till I resolve that story. This time, in Blacque/Bleu, Blacque's father, Dane, has a tragic backstory that affects how his children find love. So now, I'm writing Dane's story. It's gutting me. :( #writing #romance

I have a lotta, lotta favorite authors...so many. But the name that immediately comes to mind for romance...sincere, quiet, everlasting love is Mary Balogh. Her novel "Simply Love" is ones of the simplest, deepest love stories I've ever read.

Listening to the Empyrean (Fourth Wing, etc) series and realizing that under the drama, sexual tension and grumpy dragons, there are very strong parallels to US politics.
