Modern film audiences are apparently more interested in what is essentially a straight to video Disney sequel a la the late 90’s/early 2000’s than genuinely good and original animated films and it depresses me to no end.

Feeling a sort of video game melancholy. Everything I’m excited for is coming out next year, and everything that’s out now just isn’t appealing for some reason. Just went through all the nominees for the Game Awards and (with one or two rare exceptions) couldn’t say I played or wanted to play any.

The Plucky Squire is one such exception to be honest but I just can’t motivate myself to play it because I know I want to get it for the Switch 2 next year, so it essentially feels like it’s not out yet.

It sucks we probably won’t end up getting a sequel to Transformers One, but maybe we’ll finally get good Transformers games again? Or at least confirmation that Reactivate is still coming?
