Nope is the Peele movie that feels like a summer blockbuster until it suddenly isn't. That OJ airplane bit still lives rent free.

Nope still gets under my skin because it turns spectacle into a trap. The sky feels huge, the sound design feels wrong, and every quiet shot makes me scan the frame for danger. Peele lets the movie be about exploitation and grief without losing the fun of a big weird genre ride.
