feels great being literally the very first year to pay £9K a year for uni and having a massive graduate tax (disguised as loan) draining my bank for decades which people six months older than me don't have

Delighted to say I've joined Substack where I'll be mostly writing about, let's be honest, The Simpsons

Just been using my laptop on my lap and have to say, it’s a classic move. Feels right. Can see why it earned the name

Twitter is a great place to see interactions so dumb you couldn’t even dream them

Ralph Fiennes has the greatest range of any working actor, right? Can anyone else be THAT scary and THAT funny?

it’s even more demoralizing when the history you’re repeating is history you were around for the first time

The crazy-making thing about all of this is that there is no need for it, no demand for it, no consent from the civilian populations and, no practical use whatsoever. These people just love war!

kitten don’t throw a blue shell at daddy

I honestly wonder about the long term effects of people offloading all their thinking and mental workload onto AIs. Your brain is a muscle and it will be goo if you refuse to use it

There’s actually very few words that Americans use that British people don’t know, but every single one of them is used by Wordle

this is so fun. I'm afraid I need them to make this now

Look I know it’s been said but it’s so on the nose that they’re called ICE. If a YA novel did that we’d all roll our eyes and yet here we are

We’re very rapidly gonna have to deal with people who have cameras built into their glasses that are filming you without telling you

Wait I know this one

Never clocked ‘An Ethanol Picture’ until now

As someone who used to get South West Trains to school for years, and then (after it was renamed) get South Western Railway to work for years, I cannot tell you how happy I am to dance on its useless grave now that it’s nationalised. My least favourite company ever. May they cancel trains in hell

I came up with a phrase on Scroll Deep today that might be the best line I’ll ever say

Can anyone confirm this?
