Kinda seems like the US is the one keeping the strait closed at the moment, so if Europe were to send ships there to open it they’d be going there to sink the US naval fleet.
Hegseth: "We are not counting on Europe, but they need the Strait of Hormuz much more than we do, and might want to start doing less talking and having less fancy conferences in Europe and get in a boat. This is much more their fight than ours."
@vincentdonofrio.bsky.social is so incredibly good in daredevil. He deserves Oscars. All of them. Everyone else who has an Oscar should have to surrender them to him.
Basically America has lost the war and Iran has them - and most of the rest of the world - by the balls. Iran should demand the extradition of trump into Iranian custody to stand trial for war crimes as part of their unconditional terms of surrender.
The “main goal” of the Iran War may have changed, reports Washington Post: “Israeli officials said securing the [Strait of Hormuz] for energy shipments could become the war’s main goal now that regime change and ending Iran’s ability to obtain a nuclear weapon seem out of reach.”

I’ve lived in this house for almost 20 years and only this morning realised that the Edwardian-style taps in the bathroom have “Edwardian” written on them just in case you’re not sure what period the bathroom fittings were designed to replicate.
Neurodivergent people are going to take over the world because a) we’ve already developed the coping mechanisms to function while suffering the symptoms described in this article and b) our pathological demand avoidance will ensure we resist using LLMs while everyone else’s brains turn to mulch.
Combining the demands of ever-higher productivity with the addictive design of chatbots creates a perfect machine for making you ignore your body's demands for rest.
At this point it’s not even comedy, this joke just isn’t funny or clever or original. It’s just some weirdo circle-jerk writers lashing out at something that doesn’t and hasn’t ever existed. Log off Twitter, go outside, meet real humans, touch grass, get mud on your boots, you weird little shut-ins.
Not sure if this got me blocked because they didn’t get the joke or because they did get the joke.
Anyway, if you're interested in learning how LLMs can help you be more productive in your work and personal life, buy my new ebook, the first in a new How To series teaching to 'get to grips' with different LLMs, "Getting to Grips with OpenAI"
