What an absolutely dreadful first six weeks of 2026. We lost my lovely Jasmine in January, then on Monday, we discovered my Original Old Gentleman, Murphy, had suffered a stroke. We said our final goodbye to him Monday evening. He was 21 years and 6 months old. RIP, Dearest Murphster. #cats

My lovely Jasmine has been for her assessment, and the outcome looks bleak. A mass on her bowel, and further weight loss. She is down to 2.6kg from 2.8kg. A course of Prednisolone has been arranged, hopefully to give her some time. Vet said she is not in any pain, for which I'm grateful #Jasminecat

Back in the early 1970s when animal welfare was very patchy, this fox was recued from death by a pack of dogs. They killed his mother. This man saved him and gave him a lovely life. He was set free locally a few years later, and was regularly spotted in the area.
