I truly abhor the glorification of violence and the death penalty. I also abhor extrajudicial violence, so this is NOT a call for violence. But Pete Hegseth needs to be tried for war crimes, and HIS is an execution I would watch. This is disgusting beyond belief.

2 years ago today, Hamas committed an atrocious attack against civilians who were peacefully enjoying a music festival, brutally ending the lives of 1200 people, wounding thousands more, and traumatizing millions. I condemned that attack emphatically that day, and I condemn it today.

Hospitals have been bombed. Journalists and aid workers have been targeted and murdered. Critical aid supplies have been denied, and when they were allowed, fire was opened on innocent civilians just trying to get their first meal in days. Let's hope the cease-fire talks work, but I am cautious.

Even if they do, there's still a lot missing in the peace plan; especially regarding the west bank, where ever more illegal Israeli settlements keep cropping up, making a lasting peace in a two state solution nearly impossible. One can only hope that true peacemakers will rise up... שלום, سلام

Alright, my American friends, since Trump is only ramping up his attacks on the media after Disney bent the knee and canceled Kimmel: this is not a drill. From now on, we will see critical voices be suppressed, bullied, silenced and punished with increasing brutality.

Any violence by people on the side of freedom will immediately be twisted into justification for violence against dissenters, just like we see now. And if it should come to large scale violence and civil war, let it not be the peacemakers that light the flame.

These are very bleak times; they will only get bleaker. But do what you can to resist. Combat hate with love and reconciliation, but take necessary precautions. Be safe, hug one another, and never let your voice of truth, kindness, honesty, compassion, freedom, and justice be silenced. ❤️

And always remember you are not alone. Looking at numbers now they still seem moderately reliable, we know a majority of Americans objects to every single policy of this administration. They will soon start pretending that’s not true, but it will be. Remember every day that you are not crazy.

You are not wrong. What is happening is wrong. Finally, do not resort to violence as long as you are not in physical danger. I know it may seem like there is no other way left, especially if nothing remains of the first amendment. But as we have seen with the murder of Kirk, violence is no answer.

I know this sounds dramatic, but Trump has already made clear that he will be coming for NBC, Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon, and we have seen throughout the years that his thirst for vengeance is never satisfied. The rule of law has broken down, and the courts cannot only protect you up to SCOTUS.

Meanwhile, here’s what certainly NOT to do: don’t comply in advance. Not now, not ever. Brendan Carr made Disney choose between the easy way and the hard way; that is a lie. Submitting is not the easy way, because it will not end there. It is not easy; it’s only wrong.

If you are a podcaster, blogger, media personality, anyone in any way critical of the regime: take precautions. Get legal advice, make security arrangements (because beside the power of the state prosecuting you, they will continue to rile up their base).

Ally yourself with other critical voices, so you can support each other when they come for you. Start building alternative distribution networks. Also prepare your audience. Inform people on how to use a VPN. Not as a sponsored ad, for real. Tell them where they can find you after you’re shut down.

So I just canceled my Disney+ subscription. I'm assuming the live chat on their customer service page is AI, but on the off chance it's not, I was very friendly to the potential human while making clear how I feel about the heinous cowardice of the company's leadership today.

So, the UN has issued a report, clearly accusing Israel of genocide against the people of Gaza. Israel of course claims these are lies, but this same day, they have launched a full scale ground offensive in Gaza City, aimed at complete destruction of the city.

If you can't condemn Israel and its leaders (not the Jewish people, mind you! Antisemitism is not an answer, it is another side of the same problem!) today, you have no moral backbone. And I doubt your humanity.

Oh and don't "what about what Hamas did" me. I have always condemned their brutal and horrible attack. They have done a horrific disservice to the Palestine people through their reign of terror, they have kept the conflict alive through the years. But NOTHING. CAN. EVER. JUSTIFY. THIS.

Yes, they warned the people, giving them time to evacuate. But many people are too weak to move, as they are sick, dangerously malnourished, or badly wounded by the now YEARS of relentless attacks. And also... I'm kind of sick of that "oh but we told them to evacuate" line.
