Why I will never use AI in my writing: I would never let AI steal something so precious from me. A machine has no intentionality. A machine has no skill. I will only use my human words, my human thoughts. I'm not going to outsource my self-actualization.

I'll be doing a reading of "Sunflower Loop" tomorrow for Lit Crawl in San Francisco! I'm looking forward to performing with this amazing group. Includes acts from a circus! 🎪 So cool!!

I am SO EXCITED for my cover reveal for Book 3 + pre-order coming up that I thought I'd start a countdown till Nov 3rd! 12 days from now you're getting book 3: Between Loving & Letting Go. If you are new here, Book 1, A Caged and Restless Magic, is here! books2read.com/b/4jdeNY

They say self-care is: yoga, walks in nature, making a salad. That's all good stuff, but what about: 🍨 video games while eating ice cream 📚 reading comics in bed 🦦 ditching a party to watch the aquarium's otter cam I want self-care that isn't meant to be productive.

You don't need to write every day to be a writer. Many of us can't for various reasons (chronic illness, jobs, caregiving.) You can get a lot done in the in-between times, the quickly snatched moment. It can be helpful to write frequently and consistently, but that doesn't have to mean daily.

I often see advice about writing every day. It works for some people. I worry that those of us who can't will get discouraged. It's often presented as a requirement, but it's certainly not. I don't write every day. It's not realistic for me. I am a human, not a machine. And some days I need rest.

I wish I could communicate with ants, because then I would broker a deal where I leave a jar of jam in the yard for them every month and they do not come into my house.

I have been playing a ridiculous amount of this game called Feed the Scorchpot. Roguelike game with Catan feels. Feed a hungry dragon with dice rolls and recipes. Lovely graphics. Compelling. I've played 100 hours of this game. Also love the dragon's salty comments. @scorchpot.indieformer.com
