The Long Dark is a life experience. It's finding moments of calm and beauty despite difficult times. It's focusing on the next best step to survive. Whilst real life is overwhelming, in game you focus on your next imperative and it's almost meditative. It's finding your why, and playing it your way.

If you're looking for an amazing game with a hauntingly beautiful world to get lost in, grab The Long Dark while it's on offer. It's vast & gorgeous & punishing in the way only the best games are - when you get into trouble (which you will, a LOT), you'll only have yourself to blame. Also... 1/

Enjoying Ep.5 of TLD. Distracted by a moose as usual (spent a whole day, ran out of ammo/flares, found a bow... it finally died in 3 hits) and then as I was cooking the moose meat, right-click turning from the fire to place it outside, I screamed IRL as horror wolf was suddenly there! #TheLongDark

I forget to use the higher quality screenshot button but that wolf was seriously scary and menacing in better resolution. Now to stop being distracted by the moose and continue the main story. Who knows if I'll even get to craft the bag ahaha! I can't ever turn a moose opportunity down 😂.
