Every vote counts today and polls are open from 10 am to 8 pm. If you've trusted me as your voice in Ottawa, know that I'll bring the same principled and effective advocacy to City Hall. Vote for who you trust. And thank you for your support!

A City Councillor should be a city builder and a local problem solver. We’ve served and supported our community for over a decade and I’ll continue to be there when you need me.

If I could address one issue as a councillor, it would be homelessness. Through a housing-first approach, we can deliver dignity to people in need and ensure our public spaces are safe and welcoming.

People have been asking why we can’t bring back the Logan ramp. Here’s why. Olivia Chow is fast-tracking construction of the new Cherry Street ramp, with work set to begin next year.

When I served as Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Olivia Chow and I worked together to deliver on housing and transit. I’m ready to build on that partnership to get more done for Beaches-East York and our city.

I've worked with both Olivia Chow and Brad Bradford. Mayor Chow acts. Councillor Bradford is mostly talk. How can we expect someone to serve our city well when they've failed to serve their own ward?

Residents deserve to feel safe in their neighbourhoods, and that means having police services that are accessible, responsive, and connected to the communities they serve. 54 Division is coming back.

While homelessness has increased across the province by more than 20% in recent years, the Chow administration has overseen an 8% reduction here in Toronto. And encampments have been reduced significantly too. No one should accept this as success. But it’s progress to build on.

I will advocate for treating homelessness as the crisis it is, through expanded rapid housing, rent supplements, and mental health outreach. We can deliver dignity for people in need while keeping public spaces welcoming for everyone.

Today we remember the injustice of residential schools and commit to action. For those of us who are non-Indigenous, that means lifting up Indigenous voices, listening and learning, then advocating for and acting on what we've heard.

We'll succeed by building relationships, trust, and friendships. And by being there for each other. Miigwetch to Andrea Chrisjohn, Ava Hill, and everyone who makes the Indigenous Legacy Gathering happen every year.

Nice time at the all-candidates forum in Crescent Town last night. Great community and 11 candidates on stage! Join us next Monday Oct 5 for a meet and greet with all candidates at Beach United.

Our campaign office is officially open! Come by, knock some doors, and help us reach neighbours, friends and colleagues across Beaches–East York. Most importantly, I want to hear your ideas for our community. Sign up to join our team at votenate.ca

I had the chance to work directly with Olivia Chow in my time as Housing Minister. She worked hard, knew the file in and out, and put politics aside to get things done. That collaborative approach is exactly how we improve our city.

She's gotten a lot done as our Mayor in a short time, from affordable housing and transit, to public safety (911 wait times are down 89%), to expanded access to libraries and school food, and more. Look forward to seeing what more she gets done with another term.

Answering the call to serve our community again. To deliver better city services, affordable housing, environmental action, and more. And to be hyper-responsive in solving your local problems.
