This is an excellent thread. It's simple and direct. All forms of supremacy are wrong. Calling out supremacists for their misdeeds is simply that - majority doesn't determine morality.

It's unsurprising, but I keep seeing this argument repeated. The one that goes "if the majority of Jews support Zionism, then being anti-Zionist is antisemitic." So, this bears repeating. Even if the majority of white Americans supported Indigenous

Words Matter People need to stop referring to Donny as mentally ill. He's loathsome, evil, hateful, petty, colossally stupid, arrogant, superficial, tasteless, a world class crook, a pedophile, a total degenerate, a rapist, a slob, filthy, etc. What he's not is mentally ill. He's an antichrist.

Those who would master Earth are destroying us. Earth is a global ecosystem - a biosphere. Those who would dominate are ravers. Cooperation with every living part of Earth is the way.

3 essential primers for Earthlings: "Is a river alive?" by Robert Macfarlane; "Stick and Rudder: An Explanation of the Art of Flying" by Wolfgang Langewiesche; and "The Brendan Voyage" by Tim Severin. Life is a water cycle. We cannot comprehend infinity. We are components, not masters, of the cycle.

Ridding ourselves of Trump doesn't end our problems. It just removes the biggest impediment we have to addressing our problems. After Trump we have every politician to deal with along with every wealthy person who's been controlling them through bribery and blackmail.

I continue to read and learn and explore even though what I'm learning is depressing and horrifying. In order to get past our current life-threatening problems, we must first acknowledge and face them. These problems have been going on for generations. Only now are we facing global extinction.

Trump has been compromised. I believe he's being blackmailed by both Russia and Israel. I believe there are videos of him sexually and physically abusing children. I believe he's not the only politician caught up in this. In addition to the politicians, I believe there are many wealthy people.

1) What's not on any ballot in November is climate change and global warming. These are the number 1 threat to life on Earth. While I will be voting for Democrats only, I'm mindful that if the Democrats actually gain power and we trust our fate to them, we are royally fuked.

2) We must reform both our governmental and economic systems and prioritize our environment. The environment must come first - water, land, air. We must do that keeping in mind that we are not the masters of anything. All flora and fauna life, all species are equally important.

3) Poverty and species extinction are the results of ignorance, greed, class rule and a total lack of any morality. So, vote blue and then prepare to work like you've never worked before to bring about reform and true change.

It's not okay to sacrifice people in order to accomplish your goals. Your intentions aren't superior to your actions. Justifying harm to others is the road to fascism.

"East of Eden" is an excellent series. I now have the book on my reading list. "Treasure Island" is very different than the movie I watched as a child. I'm following it. I'm reserving judgement. "American Hostage" is also an excellent series. There's a lot to unpack.

The world hasn't benefited from nuclear energy/atomic weapons. Technological developments are used to kill people. We need to reevaluate how we rate technological development. Technology is used to put more and more power into fewer and fewer hands while taking more and more resources away from us.

First and foremost, there is no "NORMALCY". There has always been a very few controlling multitudes and inflicting misery on a global basis. Among the multitudes, there has always been those controlling others and bringing misery to fewer locally. Caption this picture "A Bridge Too Far".

Information was readily available about Trump's involvement with Russia back in 2016. "The Mueller Report" also provided details, as did "The Steele Dossier". Apparently, the only people who didn't report on/publicize this in detail were mainstream media reporters.

If you were ever unsure if Trump is a Russian asset, you can rest easy now. The past two weeks, on top of the past 21 months, should leave no doubt that a Russian Manchurian Peophile/Rapist Trump is burning America to the ground for Putin because he has to.

I'm about a third of the way through "Is A River Alive?" by Robert Macfarlane. This is an incredible book. The writing is almost poetic. If you want to understand Earth and our place on her, this is the book for you. The same holds true when it comes to global warming and climate change. Dive in ...

If we can take control of our congress without resorting to violence, I'm all for it. Vote Blue No Matter Who. If that works, we can deal with the new majority Democrats.

There's no such thing as normal. We're not a Democratic Nation. I fear that what's going on has taken place to varying degrees ever since our nation was founded.

conifergirl.bsky.social@conifergirl.bsky.social

It is not normal for a democratic nation to institute this level of warfare against its own people. www.commondreams.org/opinion/new-...

Q. Do I have any heroes? A. None that I worship. There are people I don't know that I choose to respect. Greta Thunberg and Volodymyr Zelenskyy come to mind.

History rarely has anything to do with truth.

I understand the appeal of imagining that history once arranged everything properly. It relieves the admirer of having to distinguish what was beautiful from what was unjust, or to ask whether the people living beneath the beautiful roof had any say in their lives.

It's always ever been the journey. Destinations change. Some destinations never really existed. How to we interact with and treat others whose paths we cross? The only power we've ever had is the power to say either "yes" or "no". Informed consent is important. Ignoring it is the worst hypocricy.

I just finished watching "The Westies", season 1. This is a brutal series. It's worth watching - especially for all those who want to make America great again. We've never ceased being great when it comes to brutality, corruption and crime.

I struggle to think of any leader in modern history who has carried the agony of an entire nation on his shoulders with such quiet dignity, such relentless resolve, and such unwavering commitment to pulling his people out of darkness

I've always believed he's "an" antichrist. I still do. But hey, I'm an agnostic so he may just be "the" antichrist. You might want to add Mark 5:9 and Luke 8:30 to this. They add perspective. Trump truly is Legion.
