I didn’t think I could be less interested in this movie. Then I read this headline. The Who blows. I will die on this hill.

EXCLUSIVE πŸͺ© Greta Gerwig’s Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew is a rock inspired fantasy nodding to David Bowie and The Who. β€œNarnia is literally a world made out of music,” she tells Empire. β€œAnd rock ’n’ roll to me felt like a world made out of music.” Read more: www.empireonline.com/movies/news/...

This sicko is definitely thinking about nuking Tehran. And he’ll let us know on truth social on earth day or some dumb shit. Frightening levels of deranged incompetence.

I had to check but yes this is real

I was once googling restaurants in a town I was staying in and and the AI results told me that the town didn’t exist.

To strike 1,000 targets in 24 hours in Iran, the U.S. military leveraged the most advanced AI it’s ever used in warfare. Anthropic’s Claude partnered with the military’s Maven Smart System, suggesting targets and issuing precise location coordinates. https://wapo.st/46BFe1T

β€œHeresy” is a fine song, but destroys the vibe created on β€œPiggy” and continued on β€œMarch of the Pigs” and therefore should not have been on The Downward Spiral.

β€œFM” should have been on Aja

This list has to be a joke. I mean, what? When I saw The Jerk at 92 I knew trouble was ahead.

John Scalzi@scalzi.com

The movie listed at #1 is so incredibly misplaced that it calls into question the veracity of the entire list. It belongs on the list, yes, but SO MUCH further down. An absolute, credibility-wrecking flub. Boo, @variety.com! Boo! variety.com/lists/best-c...

Please fuck off today and tomorrow.

I am seeing so many posts on social media about boycotting the inauguration. Don't you dare. Don't you dare turn your eyes away from history, even the awful, scary parts. If you don't watch it with your own eyes, you rely on others to tell you what you saw. We must all bear witness to what's coming

people in the south are on balance better at driving in winter conditions than people in the midwest/northeast because salt trucks are far more scarce. when they do face inclement weather they have experience driving through it on a far higher difficulty setting. in addition the food is better there

this is a good, incisive piece on dylan & a complete unknown that’s also a fun read

My much-threatened Bob Dylan blog has arrived, it’s about Chalamet as ultimate Dylanologist, Yelawolf, Ellen Willis, how I was friends with a guy named Keith Morris in high school, and a buncha other shit media-events.ghost.io/timothee-cha...

This is the same junk my baby sitter said when I was a kid after I parroted some anti-Reagan talking points I heard my dad say. Even then, AS A CHILD, I knew it was bull shit!

This schtick is beyond obnoxious, anytime someone of influence is called out for sucking up to the most powerful person on earth their immediate response is to do a suspender-slapping populist routine and insist their venality is Actually Them Representing Joe Six Pack. Like what does this even mean
