Bhav Patel (Dodonerd)

I'm building a community for parents who want to do STEM projects with their kids but don't know where to start. I've created a whatsapp group that anyone can join. We all share projects and ideas. Link to the group: link.craptalks.com/bytesizedbots You can learn more at bytesizedbots.com

My next three blogs: - Is AI a threat to your job? - Are dashboards dead? - If youve used AI to do your colleagues job, then dont be such a bitch if someone's using AI to do yours.

Advertising creatives are such a bunch of primadonnas.

Following up my previous post with this very accurate follow up post on end of year reviews.

It's that time of year.

"...But I was told we're a data-driven company and data is at the center of our business." "OK Data, let's get you to bed"

Spent all night migrating every single Byte-Sized Bots media over to Byte-Size Bots. That's right, I dropped the D. Why? Because I couldn't get the Youtube handle and the missing D was really bothering me. So now its: bytesizebots.com Instagram.com/bytesizebots youtube.com/@bytesizebots Pls follow

Half Stack Data Science by @davidasboth.com and @shaunmcgirr.bsky.social might be my new favourite podcast.

This might be the most nail biting video I've ever seen.

Episode 2 of the Analytics Unscripted podcast is now available for your listening pleasure. It feels so great to be back to podcasting with Dan. Our guest on episode 2 is the one and only @julianajaxx.bsky.social! www.analyticsunscripted.com/p/we-love-th...

RIGHT IM GOING ALL IN ON MY STEM FOR PARENTS CONTENT. YOUTUBE CHANNEL IS NOW LIVE! youtube.com/@bytesizebots

Found my dissertation at my parents' house this evening. Hard to believe this was researched, coded and written before AI. Look at at that bibliography. Simpler times. I wasn't even great at writing back then!

I had a really popular newsletter on LinkedIn when I was building a company and it was doing well. The topic was building in public. But since I moved back into non-self-employment, that newsletter has been dormant I want to reignite it, but I don't know what topic. Thoughts / ideas anyone?

The more time I spend with SAAS companies, the more I'm convinced that they don't: a) talk to their customers about what to build. b) actually use their own products. If I ever leave Huel, I'm building a company that trains companies on to use their own products.

Is this guy fucking high? 16 hours a day?!?! 2 minute videos he's never going to watch. The ragebait is insane. I haven't used Wispr but boycotting it now just out of principle.

"I don't trust the data"

Wife: "Kyle, when did you last shower?" Kyle: "What day is it today?" hahahaha

If being a good data analyst was a crime, I'd be in prison... for tax fraud.

Your problem is not that you have discrepancies in your data, it's that you don't understand them. There's nothing wrong with discrepancies. Most people will trust the data if you can explain the discrepancies. The challenge is when you yourself don't understand what's causing discrepancies

The data team fixing problems they didn't create, for tools they don't own, under pressure they don't deserve.
