Congratulations to our Jillaroos. Another inspiring game of footy. Jess Skinner can certainly get the most from a team. ❀️

It's about time we realized that labour is a two way exchange and we are being short changed. If one person has the wealth to end world hunger, they should f@Β’king end world hunger.

If rent was tax deductible, our government would suddenly find the money to sufficiently fund public housing. If food was tax deductible, our government would find a way to regulate obscene supermarket profit. But no, yachts and jets are tax deductible instead. #EatTheRich

News flash. You are already on your knees. Do something before you are flat on your back. No one was put on this planet just to struggle to get by so a rich person can get even richer. Send a message, start with Gina Rinehart. Enough is enough. Don't just resist, oppose One Nation. #HansonNever

Woohoo! MrsT's last treatment for a while so we went out to lunch to celebrate. What surprised me most was the number of food delivery drivers who seemed to be an endless line picking up other people's lunch orders. I asked if she wanted to go shopping, she bought a dog toy for the Rotty. πŸ¦΄πŸ˜‚

How lucky am I? I picked up a mate walking home from his morning bus run and he took me to see a Bower Bird nest. It was decorated at the entrance with Quandong fruit to entice the lucky lady in and furnished with coloured glass and stones to impress her.

The mind is always on. It's my turn to cook all week while MrsT goes through treatment, so I suggested that Chinese food might be good for dinner and she could have the leftovers for breakfast. Yes, I know that I'm going to hell if there is one, but hey, I got out of cooking and no dishwashing. πŸ‘πŸ‘

So now Barnaby Joyce has come out and said that he too was almost run down by a car. Apparently he was minding his own business laying drunk on the road beside a planter box...

Ya gotta love eBay. I managed to remove the radiator from the ute without teaching the neighbors any new words. Then of course the new one didn't fit. 😳 Back out with the new one and swap the mounting brackets with the old radiator. πŸ‘πŸ‘ If at first you don't succeed, skydiving probably isn't for you.

Wednesday already? Free coffee today! A mate of mine just had a home battery installed and he would like to get the most out of it. He said he asked the installer but couldn't wrap his head around the reply. So now it's my turn (that's why I'm on the big bucks). πŸ˜‚β˜•

I read a story earlier, now I can't find it. It was about a country that forced their supermarkets to give a discount to shoppers who scanned their own groceries. What a great idea as greedy businesses expand on these self checkouts. Bring it on. I will still talk to the cashier but that's just me.

I'm feeling a little sad tonight. I dropped in for a cuppa with 2 brothers who have to sell the family's 3rd generation farm. Sadly the pressure of splitting the income has put them in this position. They will walk away comfortable, but the disappointment was obvious. πŸ˜”

Dear Elon, your car fell. It hopped. It accelerated quickly, but... IT DID NOT FLY! If I jump in the air, it is called "jumping" not flying. I hope this clears up a few things. #EatTheRich

18 months of living with an EV. So what's it been like? In a word, great. The now 5 year old MG ZS EV is practical and economical to own and drive. The acceleration is good, the ride is quiet and comfortable. It has most creature comforts and was only $21,000 second hand. πŸ‘πŸ‘

Economy is between 4-6 klm/kwh (10-15 cents/klm) or 14-17 kwh/100klms ($4.20 - $6.80/100 klms) if I can't charge on my solar system and free when I can. EVs aren't for everyone just yet but the cheapest car available right now is under 20 grand and electric.

Living in the bush means about 100 k's round trip to either Trangie or Dubbo, I do that 3 times a week and that means charging twice a week. Red Energy rates are 30 - 40 c/kwh but I can usually charge at least partly with my solar system for free.

A week of traveling for me. Somewhere between 400 and 600 kilometers. It will be interesting to see how my electricity bill is affected as I won't be able to charge by solar alone. Maybe it's time to limit the peak charging hours with a time clock? Lucky I'm a sparky. πŸ˜‚

When someone tells you who they are, believe them! Pauline Hanson's cartoon making fun of Jacquie Lambie for suffering from a debilitating medical condition is as low as I've seen her go...so far! Remember this moment when you go to vote, then choose someone else, in fact choose ANYONE else. 🀬🀬🀬

Pauline Hanson's Gunn-Nation party will wind back gun laws, she has told us that already. This will lead to more people losing their lives. How do I know this? History and American statistics don't lie. 🀬

Today turned out better than expected. The bike is connected to the solar charger, the Land Rover is ready for a windscreen and the ute only needs the interior trim put back on. If my back had held up I might have got even more done. Ah well, it's a good excuse to flop on the lounge for a while. πŸ‘

If you are looking for a role model for your Daughter, might I suggest Jessica Skinner. Head coach of the awesome Jillaroos, Jess has a perfect record In international Women's Rugby League, Indigenous All Stars and the Las Vegas Rugby League competition. I might be a bit biased (personal friend).πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈ

Another school shooting in the US. 😭 I need you to know this. One child's life is more important to me than every gun on the planet. The saddest part of this story is that it will not be the last. 🀬

Has anyone else noticed a rise in the use of the term "Radical Left"? How "Radical" is it to believe that the government should have the best interests of the people at heart instead of the donors and lobbyists that seem to make government policies? #EatTheRich

I love surprises. Our neighbor rang and said be here by 6pm, we're shouting dinner for looking after the dogs. A couple of beers, a mango chicken, a garlic naan later and out comes the port. Now it's 8:30 and I'm looking for a bed. I am old. 'Night all.

In today's meeting I was asked "is there anything you regret". Yes. I regret that you can stand in the same spot as me, look at the same scenery as me and yet you can't see what I see.

I watched Josh Frydenberg discussing anti semitism just now and I must admit I don't agree. I understand that as a Jewish man he would concentrate on this but we must look at the bigger picture. ALL racism deserves the same level of attention. There shouldn't be any one above another.

I think someone knows me too well. I met with an old friend who asked for a comment on the state of water legislation/enforcement in NSW. She brought donuts. She got 2 hours of comments and another hour of catch-up. ❀️

I just heard that the Australian government cannot stop the live streaming of a US execution here. If you "need" to see a live murder, get help, now. Can we please boycott every platform that supports this barbaric act. #BlueSky please don't livestream murder.

'Morning Peers. There's a little moisture on the radar for today so I had better finish my coffee and get my R's into gear before it gets wet. MrsT starts radiation again today so the afternoon will be spent entertaining her and the Nurses in Oncology, whether they like it or not. Have a great day.❀️

Un-Nation wants to ban immigrants, so who is going to do all the casual jobs that locals don't want? I'm not bagging locals, who wants to have to work for several different people to earn a decent wage when the banks won't lend you money if you don't have a permanent job? Make it make sense. 🀦

It's a riot explaining Aussie slang to a backpacker. "No, no, dog's eggs means dog poo, but bum nuts are chook eggs" I can see why you took a double take when I said I had bum nuts on toast for breakfast. 😳

I've had a productive day. The Land Rover is almost back together again (I'm still waiting for the indicators to replace the ones I put in a safe place) 🀭. The ride-on is serviced and the bike is washed ready for its service at the end of the month. Prawns for dinner, yummo. I love my life (wife).πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Not everything always goes to plan. A backpacker travelling OZ was having some car problems, unfortunately the engine is seized solid. She couldn't hang around to arrange a diagnosis as she was booked on a flight to perth, so now I have to message her with the bad news. Some days are diamond... πŸ˜”

A good Samaritan towed it to his place and took her to the airport. You have to take your hat off to some people, an hours round trip to help out a total stranger. Well done mate πŸ‘πŸ‘

A friend once told me that everyone has a Super Power. I know mine, I have the ability to make the best friends. ❀️

Today was time for some mechanical work. I do love dabbling in things, the old Holden ute seized up and wouldn't drive. It turned out to be a shift fork not shifting. It was trying to select Hi and Lo range at the same time. Shout out and a big thank you to my gearbox specialist mate (retired). πŸ‘πŸ‘

Aboriginal people say that we listen to Country, ok so maybe not quite "listen" as much as look and read what Country tells us. Today I had the pleasure of being at a launch for someone who literally "listens" to Country. Kim Goldsmith buries sensitive microphones in the soil to check its health.

There are more living creatures in the soil than above it, so soil health can be gauged by the health of the living animals and insects below ground. Isn't it great to learn something new?

Another Catholic Bishop sentenced to jail for child sexual abuse against 2 young boys in Broome. Man of God? 😞😑🀬

I love daylight saving time, so much spare time in the afternoons. Trangie today to catch up with the "table of knowledge" πŸ˜‚, Big Dog, the Mens Shed, Big Brother and as many old mates as I can bump into. Then an online water meeting this afternoon. Whew, better get started. Have a great day all! ❀️

I'm being watched! This Sulphur Crested Cockatoo is harvesting the seeds from the pine cones in our front yard. His strong beak splits them open with ease while he keeps one eye on the invader sitting on the step sipping coffee. Ya wouldn't be dead for quids! ❀️

Simple people see things simply, they see not malice nor greed. They simply see the simple things, and simple are their needs. So yes, I'm simple!

If workers are penalised for needing a second job, maybe billionaires can be taxed more for owning a second company?

Ahh, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the snakes are in our backyard. First one for the season. Par for the course here abouts. The grain silos attract the birds, the birds attract the snakes, ah well, that's what you get living in the bush. πŸ˜‰
