In Mount Vernon, Baltimore, residents ran 10 Telraam sensors for a year. On a 25 mph street, 1 in 3 cars sped. On another, measured traffic was 4,222 vehicles a day against a state estimate of 11,452. Their findings now back 5 requests to the city. @bikemore.net @mvba.bsky.social

bikemore.netJobs — BikemoreWE ARE GREATER BALTIMORE Bikemore represents the thousands of people who ride bicycles every day, for transportation and recreation, throughout the Greater Baltimore urbanized region.

Today we rallied with elected officials, students, and advocates in support of full funding for BMORE Bus and the Red Line, along with reversal of planned cuts to critical MTA maintenance and safety projects in this year's proposed state transportation budget.

"Restore the $360 million cut from Baltimore-area transit and commit the $2.1 billion needed to build the Red Line and BMORE BUS. Governor Moore is right: Economic mobility requires physical mobility. His transportation budget should demonstrate as much." www.baltimoresun.com/2026/09/28/m...

Baltimore fought for this. Maryland is accelerating nearly $25 million to jump-start a new bus division - the linchpin of the BMORE Bus plan and a major step toward expanding service for the workers, students, and families who depend on it every day.

Our former Bikemore board secretary's Roland Park bike bus is rapidly growing, and Councilman Parker is leading a small and mighty group from Highlandtown. Our family biking organizer is helping others in Armistead Gardens, Hampden, Medfield, and Reservoir Hill. www.thebanner.com/community/tr...

thebanner.comAll aboard the ‘bike bus’: Some Baltimore students have a new ride to schoolNot only do the Baltimore kids get to school safely, but they start the day with physical activity that some parents think helps them focus in the classroom.

Interested in joining one of these bike buses or starting your own at your local school? DM us or reach out to Cora Karim, our family biking coordinator!

Total trips connecting to the route went from 2,300 (October 2024 to February 2025) to 4,400 over the same period this year, with average trip distance growing from 2.3 to 2.7 miles. 🚲 More protected infrastructure means more people riding.

Join us for a Unity Ride honoring Alex Pretti & all the many victims of ICE tyranny. The ride is a total of 7.3 mi, starting in the north lawn of the Washington Monument in Mt.Vernon, picking up riders at 700 Light St/Gateway Park & in the NW corner of Patterson Park, eventually ending at City Hall

Stay safe out there! Reminder that driving is not permitted without winter tires, all weather (NOT all season) tires, or chains. Stuck cars inhibit snow clearance and emergency access. Separated bicycle facilities are plowed concurrently with the streets they are on.
