We need to to realign our relationship with fame, wealth, expertise, and leadership. Wealth or fame do not represent talent or value to society. Charisma is not wisdom. Being hostile towards the same ideals you are does not imply loyalty or shared values.

If you want to know everything wrong with the Democratic Party, New York is a crash course. From our high ranking leaders’ hostility towards the energetic base to the absolute negligence of the only Republican district in NYC, it’s all there.

If you want to know the path forward, you HAVE TO study the Black Liberation Movement. Including the pitfalls, the fissures, and the competing factions as cautionary tales. To deny that is simply obstinate and most likely elitist.

Sometimes I look at children and wonder what world they will inherit. I truly worry that our hubris and our inability to think outside of our own egos to give them a future that they can thrive in. I can't be the only one and yet...what the fuck?

Un-woke hot take: I think you should have a functional grasp of the English language to work in a public-facing business role in the United States. I think being able to answer questions, clarify policies and manage customer service are reasonable expectations as a customer.

We need to be crystal clear: You cannot claim #NoKings without also demanding new leadership in the Democratic Party. You cannot claim that MAGA needs to be removed from power and bleached from our political landscape and not say the same for the many Dems who quietly align with their goals.

Trump is a soulless ghoul with a God complex and no sense of loyalty to anyone but himself. And that’s worked out pretty well for him so he has no reason to change. Thank MAGA for our country’s spiral into degeneracy.

2016: "Why is it my responsibility to pay your bills?" 2026: "I can't afford to see the doctor anymore. I don't know what I'm supposed to do." I literally CAN'T care about my MAGA family's sob stories. When does grace and empathy become enabling?

I’m getting exhausted by the click bait cope from content creators and their desperate followers. How many times is Trump going to be in his last days? How many GOP revolts will there be? How many lawsuits are going to end his presidency? How many times will MAGA voters abandon him? It’s so silly.

I was reading comments on a YouTube video about Trump potentially being involved with Epstein and some MAGA supporters have straight up stopped arguing whether he was or wasn't and have shifted to the "it's actually not a bad thing" phase with the following (I cleaned up some of the gross parts):

If you think Trump is on his last legs politically, you are living in a fantasy. He has too many powerful people riding in his wake for them to let him lose his power. The only way this ends is if he becomes useless to them.

We need to accept that if a person hasn’t jumped from the Trump train yet, the Epstein files aren’t changing anything. Some people would choose Trump’s version of reality over the nose in their face. 2 + 2 = 5.

If you are registered to vote in NYC, and you haven’t voted, you need to vote. There are forces trying to suppress the votes by telling us that the outcome is sealed. Remember that polls aren’t votes and they rate no do-overs if we don’t get the outcome we thought was inevitable.

Mamdani ran a near-perfect campaign. If he loses, it will prove that a) center left policies aren’t winning elections and b) young people are not a reliable base to appeal to. If Mamdani loses, in NYC, there is no other excuse or If Only left to hide behind.

Amazing how sophisticated, evidence-based policy can seem radical when sensationalization and political fear-lingering is the trend.

On June 24, I began my Election Night speech by quoting Mandela: “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” That's the spirit of this campaign, and our city. This is "Until It’s Done,” a new series about New Yorkers who refused to accept that a worthy goal was impossible.

Here are some stark realities we need to accept to keep our message clear: 1. The shooter’s motives are not the point. It’s unlikely they were even rational or easily packaged. 2. Charlie Kirk being a hateful person isn’t a bug, it’s a feature for those who admired him. 3. Kirk is a martyr.

4. Appealing to “what about (insert other victim of gun violence”) to reveal right wing hypocrisy assumes that they aren’t weaponizing hypocrisy. 5. No matter how many logical holes we poke into the right wing talking points, they’re proceeding with their reactionary aggression undeterred.

Whether we’re talking about healthcare, or gun laws, or the social safety net, or even criminal law; remember that it is being decided by a bunch of people with comprehensive government healthcare, personal security details, congressional pensions, and internal partisan oversight.

I know this might decimate your follower lists, but can human beings stop boosting and spreading these accounts they do nothing but repost and follower farm? It’s really making it hard to make actual, productive connections.

I don’t know what America will look like after MAGA, but it might be time to evaluate why any president has so much power. Co-equal branches is completely useless when the executive branch can basically hand-pick the other branches.

MAGA might be on its knees, but without a capable opposition party to deliver the death blow, it will undoubtedly recover even stronger. The Dems are pitiful for acting like passive spectators in this moment. It’s unforgivable.

Trump supporters need to pick a narrative. Either Trump is an alpha male shot-caller that swings his nuts in every room, or he’s being suppressed and bullied by the Deep State who is powerless to resist their conspiracies.
