Half Frame Time! #HalfFrame #ContactSheet #PenF #Simpleasel

Coming soon, Hasselblad 6x6 specific carriers! The frames of my Hassy backs seem to be closer to 54.5mm rather than 56mm. I'm not sure if there is any variance between the various iterations of the backs, but all mine seem to be the same. #Hasselblad #DarkroomPrinting #SquareFormat

We're aware that the feet on the bottom of our Simpleasels haven't been stellar lately. We think a change was made to the adhesive at some point. We may have found ones that work much much better. Anyway we're working on it and hope to have a solution soon! #Simpleasel #DarkroomPrinting

Here's a potential improvement for the thicker carriers. This is the back of a 23C bottom which has a flared inlay. The idea is to reduce the thickness of the carrier around the film gate. With the flared top, this should sharpen up the shadows projected onto the baseboard. #DarkroomPrinting

Been too busy developing and scanning film plus working on our products and servicing orders that I realized I haven't shared any photos from our list trip in a while. Here's a foot bridge over a small river in Iceland shot on #PANF in 4x5. So glad @ilfordphoto.com gave us PANF in sheets!

Finally working on this thing again! It's my 120 holder for the Epson V700-V850 scanners. While we have holders for 4x5 and 5x7, 120 has been often requested but the design is one I haven't been super happy with yet. Hoping to remedy that! #EpsonScanning #FilmScanning

2nd video about film I've seen from these folks and I love it! They do such a great job and are so passionate about our medium! www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_o8...

Been a minute since I shared a photo from our recent trip, so here is one! The lower part of Kvernufoss taken on HP5. #HP5 #LargeFormat #Kvernufoss #Iceland #IcelandOnFilm #ShootFilmBeNice

The latest revision of our Large Format Field Notebooks are now available! These are double-sided, though if you like single-sided we still have a few of those (and on sale)! Available on our direct store (bitbybitphoto.com). #LargeFormat #FilmPhotography #Photography #Notebook

Another typewritten blog post draft. New black/blue ribbon too! This one about making blog post drafts on a typerwriter :) I'm still loving it! What a fun way to write. It does take longer and is among the reasons I still have a huge pile of film to develop from our recent vacation... #Typewritten

Mixed up another big 'ole batch of Adox XT-3! I was finally about to run out of my stock solution to feed my replenished XT-3. #Adox #XT3 #FilmDeveloper

Here's some color! My 4x5 color sheets are stuck in the mail (long story) but I did get my 120 rolls back. This is the stream right by our cabin at one of the places we were staying in Iceland. Taken on expired 400H. Such a gorgeous stock. I miss it dearly! #400H #MediumFormat #ShootFilmBeNice

Dev'd just 4 sheets of 4x5 tonight! That's 31 sheets dev'd so far in total with several more to go! So far nearly all of them have turned out just lovely! Shameless plug for our 10 sheet tilted drying rack. #LargeFormat #FilmDeveloping #DryingRack

The arched alley in #Rothenberg which I believe is part of the museum. Taken early in the morning before lots of folks showed up, which gave me the alley all to myself. Good thing as it took a while to sort out the focal length and movements. #HP5 #Rothenberg #Germany #LargeFormat #ShootFilmBeNice

One of the waterfalls we want back to, Brúarfoss. This was later in the evening so this time I ended up just setting up right on the bridge. So maybe not as unique, but I quite like it. Also shot this on HP5 (to help freeze the water movement more) and Ektar. #PanF #LargeFormat #Bruarfoss #Iceland

So I bought a #typewriter (Olympian SM8). That happened. Initially just for avoiding hand written notes in the darkroom without having to bring my phone. But now I'm seeing a lot of nice use cases for it. Says something given my day job is in IT.

Museum der Stadt Fussen taken on @ilfordphoto.com #PANF in 4x5. I was headed to another location when I noticed no one was in the courtyard and opted to see if I can race the crowds. Used tilts to square up the geometry and a light green filter to darken the sky and roof. #LargeFormat #Fussen

First sheets of @ilfordphoto.com PAN F in 4x5 from the trip are are turning out glorious! Very close to how I envisioned they might look given my experience with PAN F in smaller sizes. This is one from our Germany leg. Just gorgeous! #panf #LargeFormat #Germany #Bridge #ShootFilmBeNice

What a glorious vacation! We're now back and already working on the orders that came in while we were gone. Our direct, eBay and Etsy stores are open! Thanks for everyone's patience while we took a much needed and phenomenal vacation! I even came back with a few ideas for future products!

Last #GroundGlass of the trip. At least in #LargeFormat. Shot all sheets. This one is the same bridge near our cottage just looking up from underneath using my 75mm wide angle. Been a glorious trip. Thank you #Iceland. We'll be back!

Long hike and I got rained on but soooo worth it. #Iceland #Cascade

Late night / early morning walk to the local village church after our evening of waterfalling. I was out for the darkest part of the day, which lasted less than an hour. #GroundGlass #LargeFormat #Church #Iceland

This is something like 100m away from our cabin. Nearly perfect light. I'm excited about this one! Warm up shot before our late night excursions to waterfalls. #GroundGlass #Bridge #River #LargeFormat #Iceland

I am incredibly excited about this one! Exposed more sheets than maybe I shoulda. #LargeFormat #Iceland

Beaches can be hard on #LargeFormat but I tried anyway! Arctic Terns, the tide going out, and the rain all played a role. But I gave it a go anyway and exposed 3 sheets (Provia, Ektar, and Pan F). The camera didn't fall into the ocean so ultimately it's a win. #GroundGlass

More #largeformat #groundglass fun! A beach right outside the place we are staying. Northern fjords in #iceland.

First #LargeFormat composition for the #Iceland leg of our trip!

I tried photographing this cliff several times. This day wasn't perfect but I was able to break out my mechanical stopwatch for long exposures such that we'll see what happens! I had wanted whispy clouds in front but they left by the time I was ready to take the shot. #LargeFormat

More #LargeFormat #GroundGlass fun! Same mountain as yesterday with different weather and a different place. Along a footpath in #Oberammergau.

Very early morning in #Rothenberg I took a few days ago. Hardly a soul and I was able to take quite a few photos on #LargeFormat. This one I expect will be my favorite.

Sometimes the preferred composition just happens to be in a gravel parking lot next to a dumpster. #GroundGlass #Setup #LargeFormat

Yay for some #LargeFormat in #Germany! This was at a bed and breakfast in Saffig. I used #FP4 and a light green filter. Of course I won't get to see what it looks like for a few weeks.

Rolled the dice yesterday on getting my sheet films through. He hadn't seen sheet films before but all ended well. 1 down, 3 more to go.

Kind of amazing we can go from Texas to UK in less than 9 hours. It took almost 3 worth of tube travel to get to the hotel but we made it! Time to load up the PEN! Rocking some HP5. Haven't decided on whether to push or not. Either way it's nearly time for some pub food and beer!

Last postcard prints before my vacation! Top left is the PAN F from my film tests. The others are from #Iceland. So excited to be visiting again now very very soon!

Contact prints from my film tests. HP5, FP4, PAN F and IR 400 in that order. IR 400 is thinner. I would print each a bit differently given the changing lighting conditions, but overall they're giving me what I was expecting. #FilmTests #ContactSheet #HP5 #FP4 #PANF #IR400

First pictorial test of @ilfordphoto.com 's #PANF in 4x5! Not the most epic photo ever but it was a good way to do some comparisons and exposure tests after all the work I've been doing with my development testing. Very excited to use this film alongside HP5 and FP4 for our upcoming trip!

Last test shot is drying now so I'll hopefully share those soon, but here's my film curves after a few weeks worth of film tests. HP5, FP4, PANF (in 4x5 whee!), and Rolle IR. Finished just in time for our trip!

As we prep for our return to Iceland, here's some film inception going on for this one. Taken with my Olympus #PEN (on #P33) of me taking a photo on 4x5. I won't be revisiting this area this time, but will be visiting others (and spending time in the Northern Fjords). I love #iceland so much!

11:30 at a whopping 96 LUX. That finally might be a tad too much to catch the toe within the steps. It's still trying so not yet sure about the gamma or slope of the toe. Still the mystery of what to do about this seeming to be a much slower film than 400 or 200. I'm getting like 25.

I'll be back here again soon! And on that note, update that we will be on vacation for a good chunk of June. We are still fulfilling most orders now though are in range of some orders being delayed until our return. #Iceland #MinecraftForReal #Vacation

Trying to wrap my head around Rollei IR 400 and it's uhh, well, been quite the study. The test dates are all across a wide range and stock vs 1:1 though I think the biggest difference is constant agitation (rotary) vs inversions.
