Dear friends and supporters of bitcrowd, we needed to file an insolvency application. This is mainly a precautionary step that can be taken back. For that to happen, we need your help. How to help: send us projects, big or small. If you know investors, let us know. Thanks for standing with us!

We're happy to share an update to this post: bsky.app/profile/bitc...

bitcrowd joins OpenProject In July this year, bitcrowd entered preliminary insolvency proceedings. It wasn't an easy step, but we needed the chance to stop, look hard at how we work, and decide what we want to become. On Tuesday, we were able to stop the insolvency. (1/8)

We'll continue our consulting work, with a focus on helping companies migrate away from Jira, especially Jira Data Center. We'll build custom extensions for OpenProject so teams can shape it around the way they actually work. And we'll contribute directly to the OpenProject core product. (7/8)

To our clients, partners, and friends who stood by us through a difficult period: thank you. Your trust made this new chapter possible. If you're thinking about moving off Jira or want to explore what OpenProject can do for your team, we'd love to talk. On to digital independence. (8/8)

In October, we take the next step: bitcrowd becomes part of OpenProject, the open source project management system. For us, this is a natural fit. OpenProject stands for the same thing we've come to care most about, which is digital independence. (5/8)

Organizations shouldn't have to hand control of their most important workflows to proprietary platforms they can't inspect, adapt, or leave. Here's what this means in practice. (6/8)

We want to build things that matter, in the open, and help others become more independent in how they use technology. That shift had already started. We've been investing in local LLM work, keeping AI capabilities under our clients' own control. (3/8)

We built a performant DataPlane for Bluesky, contributing to the infrastructure of a decentralized social web. And we created Wiblio, an operating system for offline-to-online communities built on Discourse. (4/8)

We are now back in normal operation! For the past three months, we questioned every assumption behind our previous way of working. One conclusion came out clearly: we want to do more than provide expert services. (2/8)

🎶 One More Time.... ....we’re getting the room ready for tonight’s Elixir Berlin Meetup and we’ve all got Daft Punk in our heads. Because tonight, we’re hosting the #Elixir Berlin community at bitcrowd one more time, the very last time 💜 Looking forward to seeing you there!

Deploy markers gone after moving to #Docker + #Kubernetes? Agathe from our team wrote up exactly how we fixed it — APP_REVISION, K8s debugging, and #AppSignal agent logs. Link in thread 👇

@tangled.org is such a great role model for projects in this moment - actually does the thing: useful, accessible - innovates/differentiates at *product* level: stacked review - hybrid at proto layer (git and AT), pulls in bsky profile data - built in europe by small amitious team #eurosky

We're excited to introduce Rag, an #Elixir library designed to orchestrate #RAG workflows with flexibility. Choose between local models with Nx or external APIs via Req—mix and match as needed! Build powerful AI systems, seamlessly integrating LLMs, embedding and ML models.

🚀 Curious about one of our latest client projects? We’re working with Steady to redesign their creator platform. From UI/UX improvements to a stronger technical foundation, we’re collaborating to set the stage for the future of independent media makers.

🚀 Releasing a browser extension shouldn’t be a hassle! For Tickety-Tick, we built a semi-automated pipeline—striking the right balance between automation and control. What mattered to us? ✅ Automation with oversight 🔒 Security considerations ⚡ A simple, pragmatic solution

Thanks for braving the snowy weather to join the #ElixirMeetupBerlin last Thursday! The talks that evening delved into some exciting topics—how Wasmex is infusing WebAssembly magic into #Elixir and exploring ways to create interactive, secure documentation with a #RAG system.
