Made a sad error yesterday and didn’t hear the delivery person ringing the bell with our new iPhone. Guess we’ll wait until Monday. To be fair, yesterday was a wild day of household logistics.

Codex has been the worst AI agent experience I’ve had. It’s results have been…okay. But it’s integration with the system has been very lacking. There’s probably ways around it, but…🤷‍♂️.

As @bjhess.bsky.social, co-founder of Good Enough, a platform that builds small-scale projects, says: ”Connecting in this way, human-to-human, is vital to building a future filled with more connection, understanding, and empathy.” That is the beauty and promise of the indie web.

I’ve been trying JetBrains’s Junie as an AI coding agent. Read good things, but turned out slow and expensive and meh in terms of results. Going to give Codex a try next. If that’s underwhelming, I’ll head back to augmentcode.

I’m on an iPhone 14 Pro and my better half is on the 13 Pro. Our youngest’s 13 Mini battery is toast. I think we’ll move the 13 Pro to the youngest and replace the Mini with a 17 (non-Pro). Four-year cycle!

Getting CloudFront/S3 to be responsive and consistently hitting its cache may be the death of me. Wishing I could go back in time and start with Cloudflare, but is the grass really greener?

Real world experiences with Lemon Squeezy vs Paddle? Pika needs to move from Stripe to a merchant of record vendor. If it’s a coin flip, I would assume migrating to Lemon Squeezy will be easier since it’s a Stripe company.

Prepping for her college move, I just loaded up Cora with bookshelf speakers I bought my senior year of college. 🔊🎵❤️ (Made in Germany MB Quart QL C 104s.)

Spent a lot of time this week revamping Pika’s image handling. It hasn’t fully landed yet. Hopefully this behind-the-scenes work can be out to customer sites next week, though. Long overdue…thankful for customers’ patience.

If you’re thinking of switching your MLB fandom, don’t select: - The Brewers. Fans are mean drunks, ballpark is a terrarium - The Cubs. You left frat boys and sorority girls behind in college. - The White Sox. Abandoned by God. - The Cardinals. Fans’ self-regard equal to anyone in the Pohlad family.
