I made a spinach artichoke focaccia recipe that I saw online. It was really good! #bread

I haven't baked bread in ages. Today I made a rosemary artisan loaf. It was very tasty!

Karen Carpenter would have turned 76 today. My favorite song by the Carpenters is Rainy Days and Mondays. This is a video of a live performance of this melancholy song. Such a loss to have this beautiful voice silenced. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxHJ...

This made my day!!! www.facebook.com/reel/1357168...

Celebrating massive Democratic election success with cheese popovers!!!

The best part of Halloween, imo. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK1X...

"Once there was fire in our lives, silver sparks that used to fly. We've got to get it on again. Work it out together. Learn to love again We've got to make a try . . ." A hidden gem from the 70's. RIP, Dick Addrisi. www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_z9...

Chris Murphy on Joni Ernst: "I think everybody in that audience knows they're going to die, they would just rather die in old age at 85 or 90 instead of dying at 40. And the reality is that when you lose your healthcare, you are much more at risk of early death."

Reflections of My Life is one of those songs that never loses its power. "All my sorrow Sad tomorrow Take me back to my old home All my crying (all my crying) Feel I'm dying, dying Take me back to my old home" #ClassicRock #MusicSky www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5Nd...

Great live performance! #classicrock www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIwk...

The sky was really red this morning. I took this picture around 6 am. Sailors take warning :-)!

It had been around 6 weeks since the last time I had baked bread. I took my sourdough starter out of the fridge, and it had doubled after the third feeding. The baked loaf had good oven spring, a nice ear, thin crust, and a decent crumb. It tasted and smelled great!! #sourdough #bread

He's 79 today, and this song never sounds old to me. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1a6s...

One of my favorite Beatles songs. "Were you telling lies? (Oh, the night before) Was I so unwise? (Oh, the night before) When I held you near You were so sincere Treat me like you did the night before" www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tD4...

When JCS was more rock than flashy production. Murray Head was the original and the best, imo. The clothes, the hair . . . :-) . Great live performance! #MurrayHead www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEET...

Timeless . . . "And you know it's right And you know that it's right We have got to get it together We have got to get it together now" www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJae...

I'll never understand why Chi Coltrane wasn't a bigger star. This is a kickass live performance. She could ROCK! www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7Jg...

I'm feeling positive about the sourdough loaf that I made today. I went back to using an oven bag instead of a Dutch oven. I was pleased with the oven spring, crust, and crumb. It also tastes really good. I'm glad to see improvement! #bread #sourdough

Colette had a spa day. #DogsofBlueSky

Maggie didn't appreciate being interrupted when she's in neighborhood monitoring mode. #dogsofbluesky

Colette is starting to feel festive in her sleigh bed! #dogsofbluesky

WATCH: During a Federalist Society panel, Professor Philip Hamburger popped a bottle of champagne and raised a toast to celebrate the fall of the administrative state. He made sure to pour a glass for his co-panelist, Judge Neomi Rao of the DC Cir. Court of Appeals.

Enjoying a lunch break.

Colette looks the way I feel today . . . Except that she's prettier.

Colette and Maggie want to introduce themselves to #DogsOfBluesky.

Welp, I watched 1/2 hour of national news on TV this morning and switched over to the Solid Gold Oldies channel. Much better for my mental and emotional health.
