Our group has played so much #bigwalk - normally I don't do fan art, but holy cow I couldn't help myself this time >.< Over time we collected some of our favorite things, and each time we login we put on the gear the same way. Definitely shows personal development in-game. Highly recommended play!

@endfox19.bsky.social provided the photo and I did some re-coloring in gimp; it's an awesome image sir, thank you!

22 Feb

Music? Dragons? What about... both? We got a cool stream happening TOMORROW, featuring @violasonfire.bsky.social (the musical bird dragon) as a special guest, talking about his upcoming masters in the music craft. The art of music, the mystery of dragons - quite a bit to explore! See ya then!

22 Feb

oh yeah forgor to add - stream tomorrow will be over here: twitch.tv/islammedmyki...

15 Feb

Ok... My inner nerd is squealing with joy So I'm studying for a just chatting stream, when my mind goes "what if we optimized the heck out of this process?" The result: Terminal only workflow - notes, web browser, and timer all on a single tty. 190MB total RAM, then 50 if you add ffplay for music!

15 Feb

Tools used! * screen - multi terminal management * termdown - timer * lynx - browser * "ffplay <link> -nodisp" - music got defcon radio running via @somafm.com ; tons of fun I'll need to use this for a regular workflow, really excited to see where this will go

Back on TUI sky for an experiment - uploading images I got no idea what it looks like, but it's supposed to be a sprite from the game "supertux". Doing this entirely through the terminal. got to play this game on the 2008 laptop, and surprisingly it's a benchmark. Fair though for a 2004 platformer

No idea if anyone here's ever played Super Tux Kart, but here's an old song I loved from that game from years ago www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Fjv... I had to remember where it was, and the adventure took me to the old ubuntu archives. They've stored everything as early as 2013, when I first played!

archive.ubuntu.comIndex of /ubuntu/pool/universe/s/supertuxkart

25 Jan

Ubuntu stores a bunch of their things through their apt package archive! Even if people aren't using 13.04 (Raring ringtail) anymore, they still have things for it. For the super tux kart example, they index it under here (pool/universe/s/supertuxkart) archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/...

10 Jan

Ok I'm gonna test this - this is a program called tuisky! Took roughly 2 hours to compile onto this thing, but seems to be a lot more snappy than the webapp! Couple of limitations atm include no videos, or viewing profiles, but posts can be viewed & created, which is pretty neat!

10 Jan

Hey would you look at that! It blueskys! Sending this right now through that same pictured laptop, hello from the eepc! We're using arch linux and Konqueror (webkit based) browser (2GB ram) Ladybird was compiled on something too new, unfortunately the laptop can't run it (for now)

Kindle (blackHatCat)@blackhatcat.bsky.social

Lately I re-installed linux on this old eePC with 2GB of ram, this time with Arch (30 second boot) I've been very satisfied playing with it lately, adhering to the unix philosophy is a great feeling & only using what's absolutely necessary. Perhaps is this what tuning an old car would feel like?

10 Jan

Oh gosh - swap nearly hit 450MB, I don't think we're uploading images on this poor lad again after that @_@ 2 minutes with the single core churning like nuts, yeah that's a nope

Good morning! ADHD is something that can be found in about 6.5% of the population. That's a significant amount, and tomorrow we'll be talking all about it for the next 3 hours If you're interested, it'll be 7PM EST at twitch.tv/islammedmyki...

I'm doing a 7 minute version at a friends house today, it's weird since there's just so much packed into the entire topic. The notes file went from 13.5KB to just 2.3 (5.6x difference) Looking forward to doing something granular on stream; lots to chat about
