A guy with a keyboard, talking about politics and race relations. I was calling myself a liberal back when FOX News tried to make it a slur.

No one should ever let Republicans forget how they cheered & clapped like seals when Trump went on his umpteenth explicitly racist screed against Black ppl. These are the same ppl who called claimed we were lying about Trump calling African nations shit-hole countries behind closed doors.
Trump: "Somalia -- 98% of the people here now from Somalia don't work. They don't have to work because they steal so much. They all have a Mercedes Benz. Low IQ and they live better than you do."
I hope someone has some good news for us, bc history is not making me optimistic.
I need someone to address that the racism that's carried the GOP to wins for the last 15 years has been reduced to a secondary concern for enough voters to cover the flip. IME racism is the only thing permanent in politics, and my gut isn't buying that high prices is what upsets that apple cart.
Hello, police? I just witnessed @covie93.bsky.social murder a woman in broad daylight. Won't someone think of the children?!?!
This man has 100% paid a dude to have sex with his wife
Trump: "I'm studying his body. I've never studied the body of a man before. It's not my thing. Nothing wrong with it, of course. But it's never been my thing. But I looked at his ass. I said, 'His ass, shit, it's like a pile of muscle.' Then I looked at his legs and I said, 'Man, his feet are big.'"
As great as it is to see him use his political capital to attack Trump, we need to look to game theory to understand why we need to reciprocate the GOP's worst behaviors. The fact that even Obama is stepping out of the shadows shows just how bad the actions are that we need to deter
Barack Obama just delivered a blistering rebuke of Trump's actions against Ilhan Omar. This is worth reading in full.
I love takes like this. Distilling something ostensibly great or interesting into something so basic and understandable that you ask yourself "why didn't I think of that?" And now, I definitely DON'T want flying cars .
We already have flying cars. They're called helicopters. They're really expensive and there are good reasons you have to have a pilot license and work with air traffic control to fly them. Putting jets on a sedan is not going to result in a better vehicle or transportation experience in any way.
You know what this tells me? They have no idea what they're earning and are just spending what's in their account. And that just means even if you tax them, they're going to be in the exact same boat because they're just going to spend what they have.
I think the real finding from surveys like this is that a lot of self-pitying rich people don't know what "paycheck to paycheck" means. If you are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars annually on voluntary expenditures like prep school tuition, you don't count. finance.yahoo.com/economy/arti...
For the record, Israel defends killing Palestinians doing the same thing to TANKS.
Masked Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian villagers on Friday, setting olive groves on fire and slinging rocks. Caught in the attack was Post photographer Heidi Levine. “They just kept kicking me and kicking me, like probably 50 times,” Levine said. https://wapo.st/4yt6dHY
My pitch to the IOC is that every host country/city gets to add a wildcard sport to that Olympics. Ideally the host would pick a sport that's native to their country or region. It would be so cool to see who fields a baller ass team within 8 years and how they do against the host country.
How is this not in the Olympics? The skill, speed and nerve on display here would give plenty of official sports a run for their money.
I really want to be in the room when these executives are making the decision to literally put their employees in the line of fire. Am I missing something or are these shipping CEOs telling their employees that it's their duty to deliver, no matter what...
A container ship has sunk in the Strait of Hormuz after being hit by an Iranian attack amid an escalation in violence in the critical waterway. The Singapore-registered vessel, the GFS Pride, was one of four ships struck in the strait on Tuesday.
