Please vote. Please make a plan to vote. If you've early voted already thank you, now make sure your friends do too. Nothing changes if you do nothing. Make the results indisputable. Never trust the polls. Vote like we're behind. Vote for those that cannot. It is your right, don't let it be stolen

If you are in the US and aren't already registered, now is the best time to before you forget and it's too late. The elections this year are going to be heavily scrutinized and the only way to silence the doubts of those calling foul play, is with overwhelming participation. www.vote.org

Hot take: I understand that Pokémon UNITE shutting down is a sad moment for us as a fandom, but I personally am not sad it's gone. It was not a fun game to me in the end, and I'm glad I uninstalled it. Doesn't help another former friend kept playing and shilling for it so I COULND'T play it.

If someone betrays me and my trust, and then interacts with Thing X, then Thing X is tainted for me and I can't get into it again for a LONG time. It's why I didn't play SMITE or DRG after my former bestie betrayed me. I just couldn't make myself, and it's no different here.

all human-made art has inherent value. even when made by children, novices, or it has visible or obvious 'flaws'. whether it's traditional, digital, photographic, written, music, etc. abstract, realism, surreal, etc. art is an expression of the artist who made it, and that's what matters most.

Part of my project, a neopets-based pokedex/pokemon region! Puyomi here is based on the Jelly Chia, Jelly World, and the Jelly Blobs of Doom game. It's similar to ditto, having a form for each neopet species and changing to mirror whatever the opponent is based on. #neopets #pokemon #fakemon

it's why i keep drawing. AI should never be used to do all the work, it's lazy and dumb. i refuse to work with people that use AI for art or run commissioned work through AI to put a silly animation on it (seen it happen, it sucks)

With all the AI vibecoding slop copying actual gamedev stuff...I kinda want to just not make any games despite going to college for it. It's not pleasing to anyone but these parasites sitting behind a computer to have their concepts, their work, their passion...just ran through an algorithm. =c

With the Zelda OoT remaster coming soon, I wanted to take the time to appreciate something a lot of others take for granted: the ingame item models and their renders! As a lil' kid I was enamored by the models of each item for some reason or another. So I'm going to look at each one and rate it!

Din's Fire/Farore's Wind/Nayru's Love - I don't use these items much in my playthrough other than Fire for that one spiky wall in the Shadow Temple, but I still like these, very crystalline! Ironically, I like Farore and Nayru's models more than Din's despite using Din's more. 8/10 for all of them!

Lens of Truth - very intriguing design, lovely shade of purple, the maroon spikes are pretty neat. No notes. 9/10, only lost point is because it's not Magic Beans or the Ocarina of Time. And yes, I forgot about this item the first time, dunno how I did that!

!!NON-FISHING POST!! "Programming is hard" says the multi-billion dollar game company that made a game engine. Don't give a single penny to Epic. Don't even launch their store for the free games. Forget about them and don't engage with them and they will soon, hopefully, be gone.

Hookshot and Longshot - I like these items quite a bit, but I think the Longshot's model is neater with that obsidian-like color it's made of and the more defined chains wrapped around it. They do lose points for being slightly cumbersome to use in-game, though. Hookshot is 7/10. Longshot is 8/10.

Megaton Hammer - shiny metal (or anything really!) is a recipe for me liking the item model! I do think the handle/hilt/whatever is very unrealistically thin for such a heavy-looking hammer head, so this item got dinged a couple points for that. 7/10

Fairy Bow - I think I've established that the wood-based weapons and items aren't my favorite by now when it comes to graphics, but this bow looks very solid and I see why it's a staple of the Zelda series. 8/10

Fire/Ice/Light arrows - The auras look super awesome to me, almost like an elemental lollipop or something! I think my favorite one is Ice (with Light being my second choice) since it's got this really neat shade of blue, but I would rate all of these 9/10 equally.

Ocarina of Time - the titular ocarina has such a lovely blue color! It's not as shiny as its predecessor, but the silver band on the mouthpiece looks neat and I think it earns its spot as the core "magic artifact" in the game. 10/10

Magic Beans - in terms of renders, this item is my absolute favorite. In terms of in-game practicality, they're fairly neat, and the item's model is pretty awsome to. It's very colorful, that's for sure! 10/10!

Boomerang - it looks quite spindly and thin compared to what I see on other boomerangs in media, but it looks pretty neat either way with the ruby on the corner and those green painted parts. 8/10! I wonder how gross Jabu-Jabu Belly will be this time in the remaster...

Fairy Ocarina - Despite being presumably made of clay, stone or wood, it has an interesting sheen I dig and the emerald set in the mouthpiece looks pretty! 9/10! Apparently the mouthpiece is also called a fipple? I looked that up just now...

Bombs - no real comment, the shell looks quite cloudy and I'm not a fan of that, preferring shiny and crystalline items. Side note, it took child me a long time to figure out how to navigate the room where you get these from in Dodongo's Cavern. 7/10

Bombchu - sadly, the render looks cooler than the item, I feel. The eyes on the shell look a bit awkward and it just looks like a slug wearing a mask of some kind. 2/10, will also review each of the renders later, by the way.

Fairy Slingshot - the red tips on the frame look somewhat glowy, almost like Minecraft redstone. I appreciate that the elastic string LOOKS like it FEELS, too. 7/10, lost a few points since it's still basic and a wooden item.

Deku Stick - it's a stick, alright. I'm seriously reviewing a wooden stick, one that doesn't look super woody to me. 3/10 (the little leaf gives it +1 on score, though, that's cute!)

Oooohh, you like Fortnite? No you don't. 🙂You have never LIKED Fortnite. If you say you do, you're wrong; stop playing and rewarding bad practices.

It’s really remarkable to me that 10 years into this people feel compelled to “clarify” Trump’s homicidal and often genocidal fantasies. It is deranged for the president to daydream about American cities in states he hates getting blown up. Full stop.
