Replying to @joolia.bsky.social

Whether it's Democrats using a police gym to play basketball or Republicans imprisoning people without due process and sending them to black sites, both sides abuse police resources to achieve their goals.

Richard Seymour ( @leninology.bsky.social ) writing for Salvage.

Latest from Salvage #16 is my essay, 'How Life Doesn't Work': on the needful freedom and history-making power of the organism and the limits of materialism. Marxism needs something like this foundation for its emancipatory claims. salvage.zone/how-life-doe...

Please ask my senator Chris why the minority leader of the Democratic Party has not full-throatedly endorsed the Democratic Senate candidate in Michigan, please, and then ask him what the fuck he's going to do about it

Van Hollen: The corporate media is essentially doing the bidding of the billionaire class. The exchanges they’ve had with Abdul El-Sayed are a perfect case of that. Because his campaign is built on 3 things… You would never know that, right, from his interviews with folks in the corporate media.

Two miles downhill from the house my mother grew-up in, my maternal grandparents, while my parents were taking vacations away from me and Elric, would drive us to the Webster A&P for ice cream

Shitlords truly see Trump's crash and burn as a no-lose stochastic cash out

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Why do we always have to take people from shit house countries? We can't we take people from Norway and Sweden and Denmark? By the way, Denmark gave us Greenland ... what do you take, Venezuela or Greenland? We got them both!"

One thing that's different is the glossaries are at the front instead of the back of the book Second thing: irresponsible for me to speculate as fuck, but spot reading for twenty minutes has a Dying Grass feel, not overwhelming but yay!

This is how it works repeatedly with Trump — something pretty much everyone agrees is fucked up then Trump jumps in to side with the fucked up thing, and the result is not a story that's like "Trump sides with fucked up thing" but to change the fucked up thing to instead become "controversial"

CNN@cnn.com

President Donald Trump on Thursday encouraged Republican Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to keep running a controversial ad featuring his opponent Amy Acton's estranged mother. CNN's Kaitlan Collins reports. Read more: https://cnn.it/3UH9xBq

Your next potus unless you think Trump will live until January 2029

JD Vance smears Amy Acton: "I happen to think that the people of Ohio see through that fraudulent activity for exactly what it is. Somebody said alcohol. You can say it. I can't."

Crackers are weird

Trump: "The absolute mutilization of your children, where your son Timmy comes up five days later as Sarah, and you don't even know about it. Nobody can believe that's this country."

Frequent reminder that there is no better metaphor for the United Shitlord States of American than motherfucking helmetball

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs. Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played the game without having slept. Crazy.

If this is true and the Democrats don't run commercials on it in every competitive campaign down to the state house level, they don't want to win

News to Remember@moments2remember.link

Leaked audio of Mike Rogers calling on Republicans to use off-duty police officers to intimidate voters in Detroit in an attempt to manipulate the Michigan Senate race:

Since I've been barking about Obama *not* doing this I need credit him for doing this *now* that he did it

Cristian Farias@cristianfarias.com

The only thing I’ll add to this fine statement is that vindictive prosecutions are now a feature, not a bug, of our constitutional system, thanks to Trump v. United States. Unless and until Congress adopts deep, structural measures, presidential harassment through the criminal system won’t go away.
