So I'm now officially at the lowest weight I've been since I graduated uni, and I'm half way to my ultimate goal of having a bmi in the normal range. It's been very slow progress but importantly it has also been very steady!

Every time I get a cold I cough for about 2 months, very annoying. Even more annoying when I get ANOTHER cold 1.5 months after the first Cold! Coughing for 4 months is not something I want to do

Finished control resonant, it's an interesting game because it starts off kinda boring and then gets better and better, the best part of the game being the ending

Pax 2026 was good! I got to play total war: Warhammer 40k, a bunch of indie games including batography, killing with your friends and others. Played the call of duty board game (surprisingly good), halo flashpoint, an indie board game for children called dragoquest and much more!

Also bought a bunch of stuff, physical gwent, game merch, shirts and some random games (did somebody say detective remmi? No? Well we have it for some reason). I also went to That's Ruff and got immortalized on the wall. Altogether a great trip! Lots to do!

So I tried getting into solo leveling and didn't like it cause it was too stupid, tried getting into jujutsu kaisen and didn't like it because the protag was too annoying. Started watching monster x monster, now this anime I do like

It's a shame that Obsidian makes such good games and no one plays them. I dunno how I feel about this news. I was really happy that they were working on another fallout, but working under bethesda seems wrong. If Emil touches any Obsidian game I'm gonna be so angry.

I finished Pathfinder wrath of the righteous on Core difficult! It was good but it was Looooong, I'm glad to be finished with it tbh

I still haven't quite figured out why I don't like starfield. All the components are there: space, cool weapons, simulation like RPG systems, lots of quests, lots to explore. Yet it's boring. How? Why?

I realize I didn't have this uploaded on blusky, this was a tour of my house when I first bought it. It's quite different now!

Watching halo modders learn to mod campaign evolved in real time is really interesting. Apparently the game literally is just a bunch of halo tags (files) from all sorts of halo games smashed together, with unreal used as the graphics layer

And I mean literally. The third person animations are from halo reach, the first person animations from halo infinite, the flood AI is from halo 3, it's just crazy

So I was looking up BattleBots, the gameshow where robots fight each other. I looked up the strongest battlebot and it was considered End Game, looked at who made it and the guy who made it and runs the team is Jack Barker, my roommate in the US when I worked at Microsoft!

I've finally written a much more structured and understandable view of my closest held philosophy (which I've often called "Set Relativism"). The thesis is basically that objective truth does not matter. Have a read if you're interested: www.bleese.net/2026/07/obje...

I have found a genre of games that I love (cRPG), each game taking hundreds of hours to complete and feels me full of satisfaction. Yet for some reason I FEEL like I should play other games, but these games are fun!

Well I finished Pathfinder kingmaker, and apparently only 1% of the playerbase finished it on the difficulty I played on haha. Altogether a very solid game, really enjoyed it! It comes to number 6 out of the 10 CRPGs I played. I'm keen to get into wrath of the righteous!

I've been studying QM again and now I finally understand Bra-ket notation and what it means (<x| = column vector, |x> = row vector. <x|y> = dot product, |x><y| = cross product)

I also now understand the projection operator (If you have a wavefunction in state Psi in X-basis, to figure out the state in Y-basis, calculate the Eigenvectors of Y, then for each eigenvector, cross product with Psi in X-basis, to get the final state in Y-basis)

I've worked for Google for 8 years and today I've finally got the courage to upload my fursona as my internal work profile picture xD

I'm starting to realize that every religion has the same general point. At it's core, in the most fundamental level, it posits that the state of things as they are could be improved, and the religion is an instruction manual on how to improve them.

So for Christianity the physical world that we live in is is the unsatisfactory condition, and heaven or salvation is the improved area, and all Christianity is, is an instruction manual on how to get there (accept jesus christ as your lord and saviour being the most important step)

Buddhism is the same, the belief that the conditioned world we live in is ultimately unsatisfactory, and obtaining nirvana and being in the unconditioned world is the more satisfactory state to be in. I wonder if there is a religion that isn't exactly like this?

I like the red button/button thing because framing it in different ways gets different responses Pro red button: "you can either drink deadly poison, if 50% of people choose this an antidote is given to everyone, OR you can drink water" Obviously youll drink water

I think they demonstrate the divide. Is pressing the blue button an act of self-induced harm (made more obvious in the poison case) or is picking the red button dooming others to die (made more obvious in the voting case). My thoughts are in a perfectly rational world, everyone should pick red

The only reason you would pick blue is because you don't believe everyone is perfectly rational, and so to save an irrational person you must pick blue. This is probably true, because a lot of people would be irrational and pick blue for all sorts of reasons

Pro blue button: "you can vote for someone who says they will hunt down and kill anyone who doesn't vote for them, they need 50% of the vote to be sworn in. Do you vote for them?" Obviously, no. But both are the same situation with just added meta-context that makes us lean one way or another

Got a new cat, named mouse. He was a stray so we got to get him tested for FIV before we can say for sure we are keeping him

Grease is my new favorite spell. Was fighting a dramatic boss in Pathfinder: kingmaker and cast slick (like grease) and the boss, their minions and my entire party just constantly slipped all over the place during the fight. Turned the flight into slapstick comedy and total chaos xD
