Anyone who says "Africans were active in the slave trade" is a white supremacist trying to distribute blame for the North Atlantic Slave Trade

amazingly fucked up that the NYT is uncritically publishing the claim, “Race has some biological reality.” that is, definitionally, racism. textbook.

Dear Liberals around the world. It is time that you embrace the notion that taking BIG actions and making BIG changes is totally OK! People are desperate for change to their situations, and the right wing is offering BIG systemic change. Not in a good way, but in a clearly visible way. The

Anyone talking about 2028 chances in this moment is not fit to lead in 2028. There is organizing happening right now at the grassroots level to fight for working class people—those who are fit to lead in the future are leading in those spaces right now.

Shout out to all the finance bros who didn’t give a shit about democracy, human rights, racism, homophobia, misogyny, the future of the planet or basic human decency and voted for the conman they thought was gonna be good for the economy. You guys are geniuses.

It’s god awful for the environment and people are starving in this country and being sent to torture prisons. This is not some beacon of hope and optimism. Totally off-base to act like flying to space is some miracle.

Gayle King responds to criticism of the Blue Origin space trip by acknowledging it was expensive but insists useful information was gathered: “Have y’all been to space? Go to space or go to Blue Origin and see what they do and then come back and say, ‘This is a terrible thing.'”

The people on BlueSky having a meltdown over this are the reason why Twitter remains so strong. The centrist, hyper-partisan liberal echo chamber here is nauseating. Bernie made a very basic point and y’all are pissed about it.

Sanders: Tariffs used selectively are a good idea if they're going to protect American jobs. But to arbitrarily, out of nowhere, come up with a tariff that they can't even justify or explain to virtually every country on Earth is absolutely counterproductive

Liberals cannot sensibly be mad that Trumpers still think Trump won in 2020 when they share shit like this.

it's wild that America's revolution was catalyzed by a tea party revolt about a king unilaterally imposing tariffs, the constitution born from that revolution said Congress not the president decides tariffs...and then Congress gave a president-king unilateral power to do tariffs

People need to start realizing that all this struggle to return to "normal", when that meant the West exploiting the global south while justifying imperial genocide of Palestinians as necessary. The world shouldn't go back to neoliberalism, it got us here. We need to build something better.

We can't do broad tariffs without first investing billions into implementing expansive domestic manufacturing policy so we can produce our own version of these goods domestically. Our supply lines would first need YEARS to correct/onshore! All this does is raise prices!!!

Israel is relentlessly bombing Gaza. Since early this morning, more than 40 Palestinians confirmed killed in Israeli attacks. Among the targets was an UNRWA clinic housing displaced people in Jabalia, killing at least 19. Children among the dead.

Nothing Kamala said was thought provoking. Trump being evil is plain to know since he had already been president before. The fact remains that Kamala ran a terrible campaign and is partly to blame for Trump winning the White House again. She isn’t some saintly figure in history.
