Super mad at my local walmart for selling a printer and immediately deciding they no longer want to carry the ink. The ink is still being made, I can order it from brother's website, but I need the ink BEFORE thursday.

One type of book I find very hard to track down are space-faring scifis. I'm writing a space opera and one thing I'm finding out is that "space opera" does not always include space.

I regularly see posts on here about "remember, if you see someone stealing food, no you didn't." Well, lbr, if I see anyone stealing anything, that's not my job to deal with.

Gave this the soundtrack it deserves. Kubrick was onto something when he picked the Blue Danube as the Theme of Objects Floating In Space. Call me, Nutella

I was never happy with my previous GBC screen. It was an ips screen but the colors were so off. Thanks to the gameboy reddit sub, I found a screen that is both trans-reflective and backlit, and I am MUCH happier with this one.

Am I overreacting for boycotting my local writer's group for even having someone who advocates for using generative AI on your stories, even if they had someone who opposed it debating with them? I don't think it should be condoned at all.

I have a single dream mod for ark survival evolved: a chargelight Jerboa. Unfortunately, nobody seems interested in doing the deed. (and the devkit is too strong for my computer)

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 167: The weather in fiction is a lot more than just providing atmosphere. It determines what your characters wear, how they negotiate their world, how they feel, how they behave. Consider how it affects the light; the sounds and sensations; even the plot. It matters.

The opening to that one Terrible Writing Advice video just keeps being relevant. "Well, let's see what's going on in the world right now. Maybe I WON'T feel the need to escape reality today." (cut to real life) "...NOPE! BACK TO FANTASY LAND I GO!"
