2/Talarico appears with a big plate full of barbecue ribs. He starts: T: “Over the next hour, I’m going to prove to you in real-time, over and over, I’m not a vegan. And I challenge Paxton here to prove to you in real-time, over and over, that he is not a creep unfit for office.”

4/Talarico raises the 2nd rib and devours it. T: “That’s Proof #2: I’m not a vegan. Now it’s Paxton’s turn. Prove your own party didn’t impeach you for abusing public trust, bribery, and obstruction of justice for Nate Paul, developer and campaign donor.” P: [Silence]

5/Talarico raises the 3rd rib and devours it. T: “That’s Proof #3: I’m not a vegan. Now it’s Paxton’s turn. Prove you didn’t commit securities fraud for persuading investors to buy stock in a startup without disclosing it was compensating you to promote it.” P: [Silence]

6/Talarico raises the 4th rib and devours it. T: “That’s Proof #4: I’m not a vegan. Now it’s Paxton’s turn. Prove you didn’t illegally wrongfully terminate top aides who reported you to the FBI over the Nate Paul affair.” P: [Silence]

7/Talarico raises the 5th rib and devours it. T: “That’s Proof #5: I’m not a vegan. Now it’s Paxton’s turn. Prove you aren’t guilty of professional misconduct for filing baseless lawsuits aimed at overturning the 2020 presidential election results.” P: [Silence]

8/Talarico raises the 6th rib and devours it. T: “That’s Proof #6: I’m not a vegan. Now it’s Paxton’s turn. Prove you didn’t steal a $1,000 Montblanc pen from a courthouse metal detector tray.” P: [Silence]

9/Talarico raises the 7th rib and devours it. T: “That’s Proof #7: I’m not a vegan. Now it’s Paxton’s turn. Prove you didn’t commit mortgage fraud by claiming three different homes as your primary residence, resulting in mortgage fraud.” P: [Silence]

10/Talarico raises the last rib and devours it. T: “That’s Proof #8: I’m not a vegan. Now it’s Paxton’s turn. Prove you didn’t have an affair which led to your wife to file for divorce on biblical grounds.” P: [Silence]

I was with a friend this morning and asked how his son, a biomed researcher, was doing. He said, it’s still hard since the admin cut support—“It’s not the same,” he said. I replied, “It won’t be the same again until some things change.” It sounded like nonsense, but kind of profound, too. Right?

Regarding DHS buying warehouses for detention… In 1932, grocers Hermann and Paul Gutschow placed THEIR warehouse into service of the Nazis, which became one of the first concentration camps in Berlin.

Took this photo in July 2016 on a family trip to Berlin. We rented a unit in the Gutschow apartment building across from the warehouse location, at 17 Friedrichstrasse, a few blocks from "Checkpoint Charlie." A concentration camp right in the middle of Berlin!

@meidastouch.com Are there any democracy or Dem organizations maintaining catalogs of Federal criminal statute violations committed by the Trump Admin? That is: statute violated, date committed, person(s) who violated, evidence, witnesses. These records would be useful after 1/20/2029.

From today’s NYTIMES. “But on Friday, Mr. Trump, confronted with foes and facts that he could not easily control, displayed another side of himself, responding with disproportionate intensity and a distinct impatience.” Why not just say “tantrum?”
