Lets not mince words. We are not moving toward authoritarianism, we have arrived, and Trump is unpacking.

The research I've done seems to indicate that Russia only supplied about 3 percent of the world's diesel fuel. If this is correct why is Trump getting away with blaming Ukraine for high diesel prices? Can someone who is familiar with energy prices explain please?

I did the same research and found the same number. The diesel that Russia can provide will be consumed in a day or two and have no visible effect on the price at the pump. The billions that Russia will receive, on the other hand, will buy enough bombs to kill dozens of Ukrainian children.

Trump often says of his self-proclaimed achievements that "nobody has ever seen anything like it" He has said it, or variations, so often that I have to ask: who is this nobody character who has seen so little in his life?

Could the reason that Trump did not attend his oldest son's wedding is that the author of the feast, the Russian oligarch Kremlev, would also be there, which would look bad. Of course, either way, this looks very, very bad.

I've just had a realization. The administration hates vaccines -- RFK Jr. is proof. But they also hate democracy, which is, in a sense, a vaccine against tyranny. (yeah, maybe a stretch...)

I asked Astra what it thought of datacenters. If sides with the opposition and concluded: "You can value a conversation like this and still oppose the terms under which its infrastructure is being built. There is no contradiction in wanting something useful to be made responsibly."

“A durable global economy cannot rest on beggar-thy-neighbor acts that stifle fair, market-based competition,” said Scott Pissant at the G20 meeting, according to the NY Times. Isn't this an accurate description of what Trump's tariffs are meant to do?

My theo Natalie Harp has avoided getting a security clearance is not because of foreign connections. I suspect it will reveal a long history of mental illness, possibly even stays in mental health facilities, which would may be reason enough to not clear her. But I'm not sure this is a problem.

These days, a line from American Pie keeps repeating in my head: "I knew a man who sang the blues / I asked him for some happy news / he just smiled and looked away."

Trump wants the Smithsonian to place warning signs in the Smithsonian saying their exhibits do not accurately reflect HIS view of American history. Fine with me, as long as the warning also informs the public that Trump is not a historian and is practically illiterate and his views are worthless.

I hear that Trump just signed a lucrative book deal to produce a sequel to his classic, The Art of the Deal to be titled The Art of the Steal. Write what you know!

China issued a response to Trump: “We deny interfering in US elections. We couldn't inflict more damage on your democracy than you are doing yourselves - voter suppression, vigilante police forces, a partisan judiciary, trillion dollar deficits, a nonexistent Congress, an erratic foreign policy……

I'm struck that so far in the Blanche confirmation hearing none of the senators is asked him specifically for an example of a time he is opposed Trump and won.

This just in: mathematicians prove there was an uncountable infinity of Trump supporters who attended his speech on July 4th. "The crowd was unreal," said one.

🧵Keep your rotting hands off our cherry trees, Trump! Trump wants to redevelop a public golf course in DC. "A photo of the architectural plans obtained by The Washington Post and The New York Times appeared to show the East Potomac Golf Links covering the entirety of East Potomac Park ...

Peter Doocy claims "people are still coming out" to Trump's 250th fair -- even as the camera shot shows clearly behind him that almost nobody is there 😆
